A: Tim Russell - Owner and Designer/Developer
Q: Describe your company in 5 words.
A: Taking pride in our work

A: To satisfy the clients needs and go above and beyond for that client. We believe in doing such great in-depth detailed design and development work that our clients finished service leaves them amazed.
Q: Describe your office environment.
A: Home based office. Lots of coffee and toddlers always wanting something...lol
Q: Describe how your team interact and work together.
A: I am the only designer and developer with Explicit Website Design but I always say \"us\", and \"we\" because I do not know how I could do everything I do without my wife keeping me focused.
Q: What makes you different from other web design companies?
A: I stared web design in 1999 after purchasing my first home desktop when i was 14. I have had in-depth education training in web design, computer systems, cyber security, and much more. What sets me apart is you can lookup web design jobs on google and there you will see these big companies blatantly stating they need 100 web designers asap for projects. The major companies are compared to sweat shops in china. What sets Explicit Website Design apart is I work for you on a personal level and not just another customer.
Q: How do you get the majority of your business?
A: Classified ads or word of mouth. I am actually my biggest client...lol always creating something new.
Q: Describe how you manage projects from the initial client contact to completion and handover.
A: I prefer email contact first and then once both parties agree we are a good fit I moved forward with gathering all details about the project, if both parties agree on the project details and terms I then set up login details for the client portal so they can securely access project management files and progress.
Q: What do you think is the most crucial element of creating a good client relationship?
A: Transparency and communication
Q: How do you manage demanding clients?
A: Prioritize
Q: If a client was trying to decide between a shortlist of web design companies, how would you recommend they go about selecting the right one for them?
A: I would recommend a client invest 30 minutes to google some factual information about what they need and want and ask the web designer questions to see if they know what they are talking about or avoid direct answers.
Q: Where do you see your company in 10 years time?
A: Hopefully, I can move from a freelancer to an in-house long term position with a successful company.
Q: Where do you see the web design industry in the future?
A: More automated and more cookie cutter web builders unfortunately
Q: What computers do you have use in your offices, PCs or Macs?
A: PC
Q: How was your company name chosen?
A: The name explicit sounds loud..lol
Q: If you were to give your clients one tip on how to get the most from their website what would it be?
A: never leave it idle. It needs constant attention and aside from the homepage it needs to always be active with new content like blogs, reviews, testimonies, etc. The best platform to use to get the most from your site is wordpress. It can be easily learned to manage and create new content once it is properly setup and configured for optimum output.
