A: innovative technically capable great design

Q: What's your business philosophy?
A: To offer a great service and a perfect solution for our customers. To provide a full range of services with the staff and skills to deliver everything from great websites to complex integration solutions.

Q: Describe your office environment.
A: Open plan, high tech, vibrant and collaborative.

Q: Describe how your team interact and work together.
A: We all work very openly as a team, no real hierarchy just great collaboration. We love building great websites and fantastic ecommerce solutions.

Q: What makes you different from other web design companies?
A: We've really built some very innovative integration solutions allowing our customers to connect their websites to a wide range of back office systems, other sales channels such as Ebay and Amazon. I believe we are particularly good at complex projects.

Q: How do you get the majority of your business?
A: Word and mouth mainly which is amazing and SEO from our website.

Q: Describe how you manage projects from the initial client contact to completion and handover.
A: In every case we meet with the client, understand their highlevel functional requirements and then prepare a quote. Once accepted we build out the functional specification and get started. The client tests the site and we handover once happy.

Q: What do you think is the most crucial element of creating a good client relationship?
A: I think listening and really understanding what the client wants is key. Also understanding their business is critical so you can put the solution into context.

Q: How do you manage demanding clients?
A: We love demanding clients because they really push us to be our very best. We like to work closely and through managing the project closely with the customer we find this satisfies their requiremens.

Q: If a client was trying to decide between a shortlist of web design companies, how would you recommend they go about selecting the right one for them?
A: I think it is really important to understand the capabilities of the web design company. Once you have a shortlist of say three. I would ask a lot of indepth questions about how they will do the project, what technical staff they have. I would also ask for references and then call them.

Q: Where do you see your company in 10 years time?
A: I bet everyone has some great answers to this question... here's mine. I would like to be a leading ecommerce solution provider in the UK with established business in the US, Europe and Asia.

Q: Where do you see the web design industry in the future?
A: I can see it only growing. Solutions will become more advanced / complex. Data management between systems will become key.

Q: What computers do you have use in your offices, PCs or Macs?
A: PC

Q: How was your company name chosen?
A: I like the old companies where they use the owners name in part of it e.g. Williams & Sons etc. So just thought Williams Commerce was pretty good.

Q: If you were to give your clients one tip on how to get the most from their website what would it be?
A: really try and understand what you need to optimise your site for the search engines. It makes a huge difference if you get it right and it is not the black art some people make it out to be. Keep it simple.
