Q: What's your name and position in the company?
A: Emily, Head of Marketing
Q: Describe your company in 5 words.
A: Creative, Approachable, Supportive, Quality, Friendly
Q: What's your business philosophy?
A: We have always aimed to remain approachable, with our offices being located on a busy high street in Wilmslow. We don't want to be the Web Designers you can only reach via the phones, we like to really understand our clients, face to face, so we can give them the best possible service available in the industry today.
Q: Describe your office environment.
A: We are a young, enthusiastic team who love having meetings and events in our office space. We not only have all of the latest gadgets and software needed for our jobs - we also have Arcade Games, Playstations, a basketball hoop and even a punch bag! We believe a happy working environment means that our clients get the best work our employees are capable of.
Q: Describe how your team interact and work together.
A: We like to keep our lines of communication open within our office, we are all in the same room and keep meetings regular so we all know what is happening with each other.
Q: What makes you different from other web design companies?
A: Our approachability sets us apart from our competitors. You can pop into our offices at any time - no waiting around for your developer to answer the phone.
Q: How do you get the majority of your business?
A: Most of our business comes from referrals and word of mouth.
Q: Describe how you manage projects from the initial client contact to completion and handover.
A: We initially schedule a meeting or a phone call with the client to get a better understanding of their needs. We then pass all of this information over to our designer and get the first draft ready to send out asap. Once the client has seen and signed off the design, we pass it over to our programmers to get things built.
Q: What do you think is the most crucial element of creating a good client relationship?
A: Remaining consistent with our communication is our number one priority. All of our staff have individual phones so their clients can instantly get in touch - or if they are local, they just pop into the office.
Q: How do you manage demanding clients?
A: Demanding clients are just people who know exactly what they want and need - which is always a good thing when designing!
Q: If a client was trying to decide between a shortlist of web design companies, how would you recommend they go about selecting the right one for them?
A: Select the design company that lets you contact them whenever you need to. Getting a new website and firing up your marketing is not an easy and straightforward process - you need to be able to communicate to ensure that your project is exactly how you envisioned it to be in the first stages.
Q: Where do you see your company in 10 years time?
A: We see our company not only offering Web Design services - but offering our clients the complete creative process. We not only want to be the best at our creative web design, we want to grow our client's businesses for them. We currently have a very successful, in-house SEO team so we are well on our way!
Q: Where do you see the web design industry in the future?
A: Hopefully, the industry will remain creative and not be monopolised by the cheaper, lower quality offerings around today. A website should be the online representation of the passion entrepreneurs had when they first started out.
Q: What computers do you have use in your offices, PCs or Macs?
A: Both PC and Mac
Q: How was your company name chosen?
A: We started out as a walk in store in the unit below our current offices. Our name is pretty self-explanatory - we were a store that sold high quality, creative websites!
Q: If you were to give your clients one tip on how to get the most from their website what would it be?
A: Make sure you are looking at your design from a marketing perspective - your design may look perfect, but you need to be able to persuade customers to contact you through the use of design.
