Q : Describe your company in 5 words.
A : customer-focussed, caring, creative, integrity, qulaity

Q : Where do you see your company in 10 years time?
A : We intend to be where we are at the moment - opffering websites to predominantly local customers and having the satisfaction of knowning that the websites work for our customers. We have no wish to employ staff or to oursource work. We do, however, intend to offer ecommerce websites in the future.

Q : How was your company name chosen?
A : Unique Websites - we offer customers unique, individual websites. Whilst we have recently introduced a template service for occasional customers requiring a very cheap solution, the vast majority of our work is bespoke.

We recently had a website designed by unique websites for our business, we were looking for a local company we could deal with face to face who would be patient with someone who did not really understand how these things work. They created a website that is everything we could have wished for. They were so helpful in all our dealings and I would not hesitate to recommend them .

From start to finish we have received excellent advise and help and the website is absolutely brilliant surpassing our expectations (having had a bad experience from another website company who created a website for our sister company).

I needed a website to start my wedding car business and contacted a few national and local companys. Unique websites stood out for me as they had a price per page option and all there prices were listed up front.
Being local they were more than willing to sit down with me and go through alot of technical stuff.
I could not recommend them enough it was a excellent choice and service.

The thought of developing a website for our business was extremely daunting however as soon as I contacted Unique Websites I was amazed by professional and helpful they were and within weeks we had a live website!

We have continued to keep in touch with Janet & John as they also provide our Hosting and we regularly update out photographs.

Feeling i should catch up with the 21st century i contacted Unique websites (Janet and John) for help and guidance. Not having a clue where to start we discussed my business in some detail to assertain my requirements for a website. This included personal meetings and many emails to confirm my wishes were met. I found Janet and John extremely helpful with ideas, and they took care of all technical mumbo jumbo for me. I think the fee was reasonable and value for money, and so far the website has been met favourably with my existing customers. I would recommend Unique Webites to anyone.

We found Unique Websites to be very helpful to a company that is not terribly IT literate. Their advice was a great asset in assisting us to develop our website from scratch. A truly personal service from a family business which kept us informed and involved at every stage. We could have easily overspent on obtaining photographs but they went the extra mile to ensure that this did not happen and searched for more cost effective options.

A: customer-focussed, caring, creative, integrity, qulaity

Q: What's your business philosophy?
A: Create high-quality, unique websites for customers that WILL work to sell their business. Offer the best service that we can to customers at an affordable price. Be honest up-front about what the website can and cannot do.

Q: Describe your office environment.
A: We work from home.

Q: Describe how your team interact and work together.
A: We are a husband and wife team; one does the design and main coding whilst the other handles the more "technical" programming, emails and occasional computer support for existing clients. We both work together on SEO.

Q: What makes you different from other web design companies?
A: We have a strong interest in making the design and wording work together to both sell the customer's business AND assist the onpage SEO. We offer a copywriting service for a small extra charge. We also offer a bespoke website design at an affordable, fixed price with no VAT.

Q: How do you get the majority of your business?
A: We get a fair number of enquiries from our website but also get repeat business from existing customers, from relative of existing customers and from other recommendations.

Q: Describe how you manage projects from the initial client contact to completion and handover.
A: A meeting to establish exact requirements, offer designs, make changes until customer is happy, code to the agreed design.

Q: What do you think is the most crucial element of creating a good client relationship?
A: Establishing / refining the customer's exact requirements and establishing what the customer does and doesn't like in a website. The delivering the best design possible and making the finished website as good and as polished as possible.

Q: How do you manage demanding clients?
A: We are honest up-front as to what the website can and cannot do (for example, if they want to be number 1 for a competitive term like insurance then we would say up-front that on-page SEO would not be sufficient for this). If we feel that we cannot give them a website that will work for them with the budget they can afford then we will say this up-front.

Q: If a client was trying to decide between a shortlist of web design companies, how would you recommend they go about selecting the right one for them?
A: Look at the company's existing portfolio and look at the quality of existing websites.

Q: Where do you see your company in 10 years time?
A: We intend to be where we are at the moment - opffering websites to predominantly local customers and having the satisfaction of knowning that the websites work for our customers. We have no wish to employ staff or to oursource work. We do, however, intend to offer ecommerce websites in the future.

A: Incorporating views from mobile phones as standard and becoming more creative in the design.

A: Give each topic the space it deserves for effective on-page SEO - don't expect one page to adequately cover 10 products and 10 locations.
