The great thing about "She-Online" is that Judy is very approachable. She is jargon free, cuts through the waffle and gets a good job done, whilst being acutely aware of commercial realities. She attends to the little issues, that I had never even thought of, without fuss. Almost as important is that she is autonomous, a rare quality when combined with experience. She is a great all-in-one operator, handling logos, photos, content, SEO and all the other little technicalities that are handled by faceless departments in bigger design houses. What surprised me is that she has carried out work for some quite large corporates and that experience becomes a unexpected benefit. Always available by phone or email, every query greeted with a friendly, patient answer.
Don't tell her I said this, but her costs are very reasonable indeed!

Amazing woman who delivers a great service! Judy and I spent some time chatting on the phone and online about what I wanted from the web site and she immediately "got it". The website has exceeded my expectations. Creative, friendly, professional service and practical advice from someone who clearly knows what she is about. She is patient to a fault (the fact that there are some additions to be made at the time of going live is entirely my fault and not her's).
I fully expect the website to deliver positive results for my business and I would not hesitate to recommend She Online to other businesses. If you are looking for "Bang for Buck" - this one delivers very efficiently - and without travel costs or expensive lunches!

I am delighted with the website 'She Online' produced for me. From start to finish the process was smooth and effortless. All my requested were catered for and 'She Online' came up with suggestions that I hadn't thought of. Communication was very easy and all e-mail queries were responded to quickly. She Online offer a service where they can write the text for your site along with sourcing photographs. I choose to write the text myself but She Online sourced the photographs. This is of great assistance when you are in the process of setting up a new business and have so many other jobs to do. My site is bright and fresh and very easy to navigate around. This is my first experience of producing a web site and I must say it has been a pleasurable one due to the expertise of She Online. I would have no hesitation in recommending She Online to anyone.

Judy at She Online built the first version of Arachnoiditis.co.uk way back in 2000 and used the most up to date tools available at that time. Since then she has remained on top of all the latest developments in web design and technology, constantly updating and improving the site. This time around a full rebuild was required. From day one of the project she fully involved me, showing me her design ideas and checking back with me to see that I was happy with the layout and look. We went through the process as a team with the result that what appears on the monitors of visitors is absolutely what I want them to see. The navigation from one section to another is clear allowing visitors a seamless journey through the various sections. The look is clean, uncluttered and uncomplicated. I am more than happy with the results and her work proves that you don't have to be in the centre of a modern metropolis to get the best results. I will certainly not be moving my business elsewhere.

Q: What do you think is the most crucial element of creating a good client relationship?
A: Understanding and communication is the key to building a good client relationship. Old fashioned principles like respect, patience and regard is crucial. Clients know their business, it's up to the designer to create a representation of that business (or project) to the right target audience. That requires listening , researching and communicating with tyour client and working toward a mutual goal.
Q: How do you manage demanding clients?
A: When the groundwork is set, the planning laid out, costing approved work can begin. If a problem arises (and there isn't a business immune to this) then meet it head on and solve it first chance. Excessive demands are usually down to a breakdown in communication, or if extra work is required, then it's back to planning and start again.
Q: If a client was trying to decide between a shortlist of web design companies, how would you recommend they go about selecting the right one for them?
A: Talk to everyone, meet with those you can, ask for customer references and email contacts of previous clients and contact them. A quick email could save you a lot of worry, money and time. Finally make sure you actually like the person you will be working with, if you don't, chances are you won't like what they produce.
Q: Where do you see your company in 10 years time?
A: Looking after the customers we have cared for for the last ten years with many more happily on board. Many of our clients have started their online journey with us and we are proud to say they are still with us.
Q: Where do you see the web design industry in the future?
A: The technology is changing rapidly and opening new doors to new horizons. I think the future will see this industry fragment into specialist areas. Those who specialise in, for example, tourism, hotels and catering and broken down even further into areas and locations. It's happening now and as more and more people get their own websites and compete for rankings and ratings, then it will take a specialist with intimate knowledge of both their industry and area to provide them with the best results.

Q: If you were to give your clients one tip on how to get the most from their website what would it be?
A: Keep it updated, even if it's only through a link to your social networking pages. Even the most attractive sites need to be sticky, need to keep people coming back. If you don't change your content, or images, then what's to come back for?
