The Growing the Future project is an exciting new initiative being run by the National Botanic Garden of Wales to design and deliver good quality horticultural training opportunities for the community, within the community. Savage and Gray Design were commissioned to create a CMS website with a bespoke course registration system. This is a bilingual CMS interactive educational website for teachers, to enable them to teach primary school aged children about the importance of woodlands, containing activities relevant to the National Curriculum. The full specification included onscreen information sections; The database driven website used the ODIN CMS system, a custom made content management system and admin panel allowing the content of the website to be changed through an easily accessible word-like HTML editor, automatically updating navigation and content in English and Welsh throughout the site.

We worked with Dave from Savage & Grey whilst developing a brand identity for a collaborative project (360 Beach and Watersports Centre in Swansea). S&G were engaged after a rigorous tender process and they fought off some stiff competition with their engaging and fresh response to the design brief. Working with Dave through the development phase all the way to implementation and beyond has been a refreshing experience they bring a modern, professional but easy going attitude to all they do.

Dave helped us realise our digital marketing / exposure strategy for 360 by developing a wordpress based website with a Welsh language interface, mail chimp facility, social media interaction and facilitating the use and integration of a bay view webcam.

S&G’s ongoing input to our design and web based work is always swift and professional and we look forward to a long term relationship and future projects.

Savage and Gray designed my website. I asked them to do it because I like them personally and love their designs - colourful, striking and fun - and they were open to doing whatever I wanted. They were always happy to discuss ideas, and patient with changes. I'm happy with the way it worked out and would recommend them to others.

The website was developed along with branding and the short questionnaire I was asked to fill in at the start if the project really helped me clear up what I wanted as well as being an excellent way to communicate my requirements to S&G.

My requests for tweaks were taken on board with no issues and I felt included in the process at all times. A development site was set up so I had access to see the ongoing results. Any questions I had were answered promptly in a professional but friendly manner.

The resulting site was clear, concise, very easy to navigate and exactly what I was looking for.
