A: Efficient, Creative, Quality, Selective, Dedicated

Q: What's your business philosophy?
A: Keep Things Simple Stupid - there is no point in confusing clients with complicated language. It just confuses things.

Q: Describe your office environment.
A: We operate from a new business centre in Newcastle under Lyme, Staffordshire

Q: Describe how your team interact and work together.
A: Our team works very closely so that input is added from all of the guys. This is also the same for working with our clients. The closer the commercial relationship, the more value we add as developers and designers.

Q: What makes you different from other web design companies?
A: Our creativity is unique - we combine technology with quality, usable design. This ensures that when someone visits one of our projects it's easy to use but at the same time powerful.

Q: How do you get the majority of your business?
A: Via referral. This means that we get business from happy clients.

Q: Describe how you manage projects from the initial client contact to completion and handover.
A: (KPI's) that ensure we mange the whole process carefully. From contact we work towards deadlines for quoting, delivery and sign off.

Q: What do you think is the most crucial element of creating a good client relationship?
A: Honesty - why lie about being behind on a deadline? There are times where you get "project creep" and the reasons why aren't always the developers fault. So be honest and manage expectations properly.

Q: How do you manage demanding clients?
A: We have a process in place to ensure we meet KPI's. We will inform our client of these KPI's at the outset so the 'rules of the game' are clear.

Q: If a client was trying to decide between a shortlist of web design companies, how would you recommend they go about selecting the right one for them?
A: Review work they have completed to date. Remember that not all work will be published on their web site so ask them - you wouldn't want to give away your full client list!

Q: Where do you see your company in 10 years time?
A: Growing. We are taking on more designers on a regular basis as the business grows and see no reason why this cannot continue.

Q: Where do you see the web design industry in the future?
A: It's moving fast. Cloud computing (from a development perspective) is moving quickly behind the scenes and therefore convergence off traditional offline applications/storage will occur.

Q: What computers do you have use in your offices, PCs or Macs?
A: Both PC and Mac

Q: How was your company name chosen?
A: Nixia sounds similar to "Nick's here" (the founder) and that's about it!

Q: If you were to give your clients one tip on how to get the most from their website what would it be?
A: Marketing is an investment in your business. Continual investment in your web site will bring you a tangible return on your investment if you use the right partners to help your web site grow.
