Q: What's your name and position in the company?
A: Eddie Johnson and I'm the Co-Founder along with Scott Marson

Q: Describe your company in 5 words.
A: Creative, talented, fun, reliable, humble.

Q: What's your business philosophy?
A: If its not fun its not worth doing.

Q: Describe your office environment.
A: A brilliant mixture of hard work and side-splitting laughter. Talented developers and designers getting along like peas and carrots!

Q: What makes you different from other web design companies?
A: We asked our clients because we thought they chose us because we were a genuinely combined, all-weather, in-house website and graphic design agency but, when we phoned them, it turned out it was also because we gave a hoot, rarely talked gobbledegook and we certainly appeared to know our onions. Which was nice.

Q: How do you get the majority of your business?
A: Mainly through recommendation and retention but networking locally and nationally is proving fruitful. I think our clients enjoy the collaborative nature of what we do, so there's always going to be better relationships built - which is one of the most important things we care about.

Q: Describe how you manage projects from the initial client contact to completion and handover.
A: We've invested heavily in web systems that allow us to project manage work easily and collaboratively. Clients log in to a secure area, where deadlines, messages and feedback and files are stored so that any one of the Folkers can jump in and look after a client.

Q: What do you think is the most crucial element of creating a good client relationship?
A: Doing what you said you were going to do and not patronising them.

Q: How do you manage demanding clients?
A: Like any other client - they're investing in us to create a brand or solve their problems and they can rightfully be demanding as they like. The systems and processes we've invested in mean that if things are heading outside the remit of their budget, then we can wave a flag and let them know.

Q: If a client was trying to decide between a shortlist of web design companies, how would you recommend they go about selecting the right one for them?
A: Speak to their clients, find out what the journey was like. Not everything goes exactly to plan, but how it was handled is so important.

Q: Where do you see your company in 10 years time?
A: We have a great business plan that is guiding us to where the company will be, but its a secret!

Q: Where do you see the web design industry in the future?
A: They'll always be a requirement for good design and I don't think that can be automated, but the development of sites could go that way.

Q: What computers do you have use in your offices, PCs or Macs?
A: PC

Q: How was your company name chosen?
A: Usually web and graphic design agencies exist separately or there's a preference. Chimaera is a mythological hybrid. Scott's background is design for print, mine is for screen and the two form a perfect hybrid. We also thought Kimeera may be easier to spell!

Q: If you were to give your clients one tip on how to get the most from their website what would it be?
A: Invest in the copy. Keep updating it with relevant and interesting news and people will come!
