A: Gareth Gillman, Owner and developer

Q: Describe your company in 5 words.
A: creative website designer and developer

Q: What's your business philosophy?
A: To help small and medium businesses get an online presence and to increase their income from the online presence

Q: Describe your office environment.
A: A large office facing a view over a large green area which gives me great inspiration and makes me happy being at work.

Q: Describe how your team interact and work together.
A: I work with freelancers all over the UK, so we mostly interact by email and phone, using online tools such as skype and dropbox to send and recieve files.

Q: What makes you different from other web design companies?
A: My company is just me, I keep costs low but give a brilliant service and can be there to hand hold a client through the initial stages of planning a website and then getting the website online including hosting, domains. I am also available via mobile 24/7 to answer any queries you may have.

Q: How do you get the majority of your business?
A: Most of my business comes through referrals from existing clients and word of mouth. I don't do any advertising and only do a small amount of networking.

Q: Describe how you manage projects from the initial client contact to completion and handover.
A: I take a clients initial plans and give my feedback, offering advice and experience and helping them iron out any issues that may arise. Once we start building, I keep in constant contact with the client with updates and demos of the site. All of the clients sites are built online meaning they can keep an eye on my progress

Q: What do you think is the most crucial element of creating a good client relationship?
A: being honest, let a client know when there is an issue and when you will resolve it. There will be always be a spanner that makes a project over run but as long as you keep the client upto date, they will be happy.

Q: How do you manage demanding clients?
A: I try to talk to them in a friendly manner and just do my best for them, and hope they like the work.

Q: If a client was trying to decide between a shortlist of web design companies, how would you recommend they go about selecting the right one for them?
A: by talking to the web companies, find one they click with and that can offer them the advice about the website they would like built.

Q: Where do you see your company in 10 years time?
A: I would like to be an employer of 3-4 developers in a small office environment where I am still involved and keep the core strengths of the business.

Q: Where do you see the web design industry in the future?
A: more database driven websites with even more complex features with the introduction of html5 and css3. More social media led websites

Q: What computers do you have use in your offices, PCs or Macs?
A: PC

Q: How was your company name chosen?
A: I based the name of the company based on my own name for the personal touch and shows I am a one man band

Q: If you were to give your clients one tip on how to get the most from their website what would it be?
A: know what you want from it now and in the next 12 months so that the website is always exceeding your expectations and isn't constantly redeveloped with new features.
