A: Michael Beyer, Sales Consultant
Q: Describe your company in 5 words.
A: Web Design and Game Development Revolutionaries
Q: What's your business philosophy?
A: Everywhere.is Literally.
We believe who you work with is extremely important to success. Ambition, dedication, talent. These are all traits that make the difference between average and amazing.
Location is not.
Q: Describe your office environment.
A: Our office environment is completely relaxed and everyone has their own working space, wherever they choose to be. We do not have a work place, more of a meeting place. Our Team members are spread throughout the globe. We believe talent trumps geography.
Q: Describe how your team interact and work together.
A: Working together on a daily basis while being all over the world is quite easy. Everyday we stay connected and brainstorm via Sqwiggle, Skype and other means. Once in a while when it is necessary, we all meet in Europe for a few days. We took the time to streamline and align our processes and development procedures to deliver the best results for our clients.
Q: What makes you different from other web design companies?
A: What distinguishes us most from the competition is that we handle Client's budgets effectively.
Here’s the secret. We give you access to all the source code we create at any time. Additionally you will own the copyright of anything we create for you as soon as we create it.
We divide every project into five blocks. Each block represents 20% of our resources, represented in man-hours. During each block we work flat-out until we’ve used all our available hours.
At this point we’ll have a chat and discuss whether we are on schedule, if anything needs changing, or maybe you want features added or removed? Any changes are recalculated and measured against the remaining resources in order to safeguard you always get a completed product within the scope of your budget.
Q: How do you get the majority of your business?
A: Our clients come from all walks and every industry, whether it be meeting them through a convention or from a client reaching out to us for help directly through our website. One thing we are quite happy about is that our clients almost always recommend us to their partners and colleagues because we have never had a client dissatisfied.
Q: Describe how you manage projects from the initial client contact to completion and handover.
A: Initially we take the time to know the client, their target market and of course what they want to accomplish. From that point we outline an approach based on their needs and budget.
The technical flow will usually follow suit as below:
i. We start with wire frames and rough sketches as well as get a better understanding of your site specifications. We decided to add the rough copy to this step too as it will help set the flow of the design from the get go.
ii. We build full color Photoshop designs and start nailing down the branding and company image.
iii. Following that we start creating a full preview experience. Once everyone is satisfied with this preview design, actually coding starts.
iv. Beta launch, usability testing and debugging
v. Application launch and implementation of the support and maintenance plan
Q: What do you think is the most crucial element of creating a good client relationship?
A: Communication.. We strongly believe that communicating with our clients more than the basic greeting and projects details really helps us get to know the people behind the logo.
When it comes to our clients we would rather think of them as partners, when we become part of a projects we treat the project as if it is our own.
Q: How do you manage demanding clients?
A: We have worked with some great companies and great people over the past couple of years and every project has it's own unique challenge and teams to work with. We only work with products and people that inspire us.
Q: If a client was trying to decide between a shortlist of web design companies, how would you recommend they go about selecting the right one for them?
A: It is hard not to sound bias here and the advice we would give is that it really depends on what you want to achieve. Every company has their own way of working and communicating as well as how they manage your budget.
These are the most important aspects to consider when selecting a company to work with. The chances are that if you have shortlisted several companies then you like the work they provide, now you need to make sure that you align with their processes to achieve the results that you are looking for.
Q: What computers do you have use in your offices, PCs or Macs?
A: Both PC and Mac
Q: If you were to give your clients one tip on how to get the most from their website what would it be?
A: Engage with your clients as much as possible.
