A: Determine your budget. Look at websites developed by each company. Use the view source feature of your browser - dump any company who's source does not have the word 'doctype' at the very top before the word 'html'.

A: If you are looking for new customers from the web, think of several 2 or 3 word phrases that the average person looking for your generic service or product would use in Google and ensure those phrases appear a few times in natural language on your website along with the name/s of the nearest large town or city.
