A: Relaxed and friendly - we always welcome guests to pop in, have a chat and relax on the sofa.

A: We communicate verbally or via MSN. We are a close knit team and utilise a studio type feel within the office.

Q: What makes you different from other web design companies?
A: We have a wide range of skills which can deliver exceptional solutions whether clients are looking for highly creative and unique or professional and corporate web design.

Q: How do you get the majority of your business?
A: The majority of businesses comes through refferals or our website. We often attend networking events which is great fro developing relationships.

Q: Describe how you manage projects from the initial client contact to completion and handover.
A: Each project is managed by a project manager, usually whoever took the enquiry. As we are a small team however we are usually all involved at some point. Our designers put together an initial visual concept, once the client approves our developers build the site into Enhance 2. Each site is analysed by our SEO experts to ensure it complies to all the W3C guidelines and meets the criteria that the search engines require for high rankings.

Q: What do you think is the most crucial element of creating a good client relationship?
A: Regular communications are key to business success...we send monthly newsletters with useful information and advice on SEO and web design as well a few fun articles. We also maintain regular communciations with our clients throughout the project cycle to ensure that everyone is fully up to date with the stages of the project.

Q: How do you manage demanding clients?
A: We find that many clients have high expectations, which is partly why they come to DSM design in the first place. We have the resources, skills and knowledge to deal with the majority of demands. No matter the size of the project we can advise the best course of action to ensure clients get the most from their website.

Q: If a client was trying to decide between a shortlist of web design companies, how would you recommend they go about selecting the right one for them?
A: Selecting the right web design company comes down to a few key characteristics. Firstly can they actually deliver your requirements? Do you trust them? are they a reputable company? Are they local? what do there clients say about them? what are there payment terms? and finally do you feel that you can work with them? Think of a web design company as an potential employee during a recruitment process, would you employ them?

Q: Where do you see your company in 10 years time?
A: With the recent launch of the Enhance 2 CMS and the growth in business development in multiple areas we forsee that DSM will become one of a few of the largest web design agencies in the local area.

Q: Where do you see the web design industry in the future?
A: The future of professional web design is going to be largley controlled by the advances in the search engines and compliances of the industry. Content Management Systems are going to be leading the way for all web design as static, flat sites are pushed aside and technology becomes cheaper.

A: Both PC and Mac

A: It was the initals of the founder of the Company.

Q: If you were to give your clients one tip on how to get the most from their website what would it be?
A: Your website should be a constantly evolving and maturing promotional tool. Don't just go live and leave it, nuture it and feed it so that it can flourish and reap rewards.
