A: My name is Aimee Bailey, and I am a Managing Director and Lead Programmer.

Q: What's your business philosophy?
A: We believe that having a website is not enough, a website should work for you, draw in new business, keep people entertained, and more inportantly, be accessable! One of our main core goals is to provide our clients with websites that display correctly no matter the environment, and cost at a reasonable price.
Q: Describe your office environment.
A: We work from a small office in one of the prettiest parts of Southport, Birkdale.
Q: Describe how your team interact and work together.
A: Due to the site of our team, we work in stages. for consultation and planning we set asside time to visit our clients, then work together and develop ideas to discover what works best. in the design and development stages, we break off into our specialised fields.
Q: What makes you different from other web design companies?
A: Our team has a broad background in innovative technologies and customer service roles. This means we are able to work one to one with our clients and keep them informed, whilst also give them technology that other companies around simply cannot offer. We can develop complex AJAX / PHP websites, at the same time we are able to intergrate any new or existing database system the user may require.
Q: How do you get the majority of your business?
A: Our business is drawn from a balanced range of areas, from the internet we recieve moderate interest from abroad, whilst locally we recieve business from local manufacturers looking to modernise their internet presence.
Q: Describe how you manage projects from the initial client contact to completion and handover.
A: We use a systematic spiral development model to ensure every stage is planned, and checked.
Q: What do you think is the most crucial element of creating a good client relationship?
A: Darkbox is passionate about keeping clients in the loop, because of this, we assign a direct contact for each client.
Q: How do you manage demanding clients?
A: For specialised requirements, we delegate a team member as a direct contact, this means enhanced support, and a friendly voice and an assurance that someone is always on the case to address any needs.
Q: If a client was trying to decide between a shortlist of web design companies, how would you recommend they go about selecting the right one for them?
A: Decide on which company is right for YOUR situation, it's no good just going with the top company on google. Hunt for an agencie like you would search for that perfect employee, you need your website to fit in as part of your team too afterall!
Q: Where do you see your company in 10 years time?
A: In 10 years, we aim to have a much larger office, plus many creative and interesting developers as possible, as we emphasise in technology, we would like to venture into mixing desktop software and website's a bit more. The power of that combination is simply unbound!
Q: Where do you see the web design industry in the future?
A: As this industry is an ever evolving hive, it's never really that easy to pin down where things will go, however I believe that the internet as we know will soon spill from the depths of our computer screens into every day life. Any company wishing to get their website online now I believe should start factoring in the importance of social networking.
Q: What computers do you have use in your offices, PCs or Macs?
A: Both PC and Mac
Q: How was your company name chosen?
A: Darkbox is a mix of two words, dark meaning dark horse, and box meaning packages. The combination of the two aims to tell people that we provide packages that are by no means basic.
Q: If you were to give your clients one tip on how to get the most from their website what would it be?
A: Play an active role in the content, most websites fail because they neglect new content after a while. Keeping on top of updates, making sure mailing lists go out on time, and changing things around everyso often will make the difference.
