Q: Describe your company in 5 words.
A: Local, Friendly, Approachable Web Developer

Q: What's your business philosophy?
A: To be friendly and approachable and to use my 16 years of website knowledge and skills to help companies and individuals with their website projects and email marketing. To have fun and enjoy making websites!

Q: Describe your office environment.
A: In my spare room with a laptop and two screens, plenty of Tea and Coffee, plenty of music and my Ewok Teddy for company!

Q: Describe how your team interact and work together.
A: I am a freelancer so I work and interact with my team quite well! If I don't...there could be a problem!...Haha!

Q: What makes you different from other web design companies?
A: Being Freelance allows me to tailor my working day to individual projects. There will only be me at the end of the phone or an email and I am personally involved in that project. I am different to an agency in that it will just be myself working for the client. You will not talk to a receptionist here...

Q: How do you get the majority of your business?
A: From word of mouth and networking events and social media.

Q: Describe how you manage projects from the initial client contact to completion and handover.
A: 1) Discussion. 2) Quote. 3) Contract. 4) Mockup Approval. 5) Build. 6) Testing. 7) Goes live. 8) Training. 9) Support.

Q: What do you think is the most crucial element of creating a good client relationship?
A: Communication. I will send an update every day or when required so the client is kept fully up-to-date with how their project is progressing.

Q: How do you manage demanding clients?
A: I have set out a Terms and Conditions in the contract they sign. If they need an urgent update then it may not always be possible as I have other projects. It is all discussed in the initial meeting. I have had plenty of experience with demanding clients and I remain calm and collected with them.

Q: If a client was trying to decide between a shortlist of web design companies, how would you recommend they go about selecting the right one for them?
A: By looking at current websites they have made and also one that is local as well so a face to face meeting can be held.

Q: Where do you see your company in 10 years time?
A: I would like to grow the company and have a few developers working for me. Working in a fun environment doing what we all love!

Q: Where do you see the web design industry in the future?
A: The future is here now with mobile websites and people being able to build sites with no programming knowledge but there will always be a need for developers!

Q: What computers do you have use in your offices, PCs or Macs?
A: PC

Q: How was your company name chosen?
A: Byte81 is in two parts. Byte referring to a unit of data in a computer. A byte is the unit most computers use to represent a character such as a letter, number, or typographic symbol (for example, "g", "5", or "?"). The 81 is the year I was born.

Q: If you were to give your clients one tip on how to get the most from their website what would it be?
A: Use social media to advertise their website...
