A: Nicola and I sit facing each other, the window is open and the cat is forever jumping up on the table to see what new way to distract us she can come up with.

Q: Describe how your team interact and work together.
A: We have clear boundaries and so despite being a married couple, we work like any other office would.

Q: What makes you different from other web design companies?
A: We really enjoy what we do and know that our customers want to enjoy what they do too.

Q: How do you get the majority of your business?
A: Through word of mouth

Q: Describe how you manage projects from the initial client contact to completion and handover.
A: Each client is totally different. There has never been a 'usual' client.

Q: What do you think is the most crucial element of creating a good client relationship?
A: By starting with a clear understanding of what the client wants, needs and expects. Sometimes this means long conversations, but they are worth taking time over.

Q: How do you manage demanding clients?
A: By trying to understand things from their perspective. Asking questions about their demans often reveals hidden issues that need resolving.

Q: If a client was trying to decide between a shortlist of web design companies, how would you recommend they go about selecting the right one for them?
A: They should find a designer who they feel they can work well with. Forget checklists; but meet a few designers face to face and go with your gut instinct.

Q: Where do you see your company in 10 years time?
A: Still supporting clients effectively with big smiles on our (slightly more crinkled) faces.

Q: Where do you see the web design industry in the future?
A: Interaction and movement will continue to grow in importance, but a 'human' face will be required. Brands will need a clearer distinctive voice and so this puts smaller firms at an advantage oveer many lumbering giants.

Q: What computers do you have use in your offices, PCs or Macs?
A: PC

Q: How was your company name chosen?
A: Our surname is Brown, I am six foot tall, we both like picnic baskets... it was almost too obvious.

Q: If you were to give your clients one tip on how to get the most from their website what would it be?
A: Buy a copy of 'Analytics for Dummies' and really get your head around what the stats data is telling you.
