Q: What's your name and position in the company?
A: My name is Chris McQuillan, and I work in Creative and Social Media at Geonet Solutions.
Q: Describe your company in 5 words.
A: Forward thinking, dynamic and very responsive.
Q: What's your business philosophy?
A: To deliver the highest quality product with no short cuts, achieving every need of the client.
Q: Describe your office environment.
A: A relaxed but productive environment, where the whole team pulls in the same direction.
Q: Describe how your team interact and work together.
A: We describe ourself as one big robot. Every desk has its own function, and we almost act like mini-departments, working through projects and then moving them to the next stage as each section is completed.
It's an extremely efficient system.
Q: What makes you different from other web design companies?
A: Our approach is second to none. From one-to-one meetings to discuss the intial needs, to full blown proposal packs with personalised access cards to our Project Management System, we handle each project with the utmost professionalism.
Our transparency for each project is unparalleled, giving clients an incredible amount of real-time detail on the progress of their project.
We're also accessible, and it's extremely easy to file requests and issues that get answered and resolved quickly.
Q: How do you get the majority of your business?
A: Without a doubt, word of mouth. Referrals are key, and we strive to leave our clients smiling when their site launches.
Q: Describe how you manage projects from the initial client contact to completion and handover.
A: Upon initial contact, we will arrange a face-to-face chat either in our offices, on your premises, or for longer-distance clients, over Skype. We will discuss through your needs and requirements, and once approved for development, manage the project through our Project Management System which the client has access to.
Q: What do you think is the most crucial element of creating a good client relationship?
A: Satisfaction, without a doubt.
Q: How do you manage demanding clients?
A: That's an industry secret!!
Q: If a client was trying to decide between a shortlist of web design companies, how would you recommend they go about selecting the right one for them?
A: Take the time to go out and meet them. You'll soon find that the real quality shines through not online, but face-to-face in the office.
Q: Where do you see your company in 10 years time?
A: We have big plans, but those are top secret!
Q: Where do you see the web design industry in the future?
A: Increasingly specialised, but so much time is taken just moving forward with technological developments that I don't think there'll be a huge change in the next five years.
Q: What computers do you have use in your offices, PCs or Macs?
A: Both PC and Mac
Q: If you were to give your clients one tip on how to get the most from their website what would it be?
A: You get out what you put in. If you take the time and effort to truly process the materials given out and the training provided, your web solution will last you a very long time.
