Q: What's your business philosophy?
A: Bamboo always aim to impact our client's business in a positive and tangible way. We don't design or use technologies for the sake of it, we only use what's needed to help your business and we never over complicate things.

Q: Describe your office environment.
A: Relaxing and inspiring environment that allows freedom of creativity and expression. No two days are the same at Bamboo, its professional and enjoyable office space.

Q: Describe how your team interact and work together.
A: We all know our individual roles and what we have to do. We are a small team, I am the Designer also known as the Illusionist, Mark is our Developer also known as the Fixer. We have a team around us with the skills required to deliver the highest quality of craftsmanship in all our clients websites.

Q: What makes you different from other web design companies?
A: I don’t know about different, but maybe better than most. Our repeat custom proves this. A lot of our clients have been with us for over 10 years and continue to come back to us for further products and services. We have even become close friends with many of them and go out for drinks. Our exceptional customer service coupled with our Outstanding designs and superior build quality of our websites is what sets us apart from the rest.

Q: How do you get the majority of your business?
A: Repeat custom. Many of our clients have been with us for over 10 years and continue to allow us to work with them on existing and future projects. They also recommend us to other potential clients.

Q: Describe how you manage projects from the initial client contact to completion and handover.
A: The Waterfall Development Methodology, where we split the project into stages and do not move forward until previous stages are completed.

Q: What do you think is the most crucial element of creating a good client relationship?
A: At Bamboo we are all about the client. We feel that the most crucial element of creating a good client relationship is listening to the client. As simple as that.

Q: How do you manage demanding clients?
A: Listen to their demands and obey. The goal is to make the client happy and ensure that the outcome works for them and their business, even if this means bending over backwards and breaking your back.

Q: If a client was trying to decide between a shortlist of web design companies, how would you recommend they go about selecting the right one for them?
A: First of all figure out your goals, how much you can spend and always do your homework. Have a proper look at their portfolio to check their quality of work, try to find any reviews, and don’t always opt for the cheapest quote just to save a few quid, this isn’t always the best thing to do. At the end of the day you get what you pay for, if your quote is very cheap then expect a very cheap looking website. Try to find a reputable web design company, with an experienced team.

Q: Where do you see your company in 10 years time?
A: We see Bamboo Solutions as being one of if not the leading creative web design agency in Manchester and even the UK. We are already currently expanding and specializing in the design and development of rich internet content managed services.

Q: Where do you see the web design industry in the future?
A: Hmmmm! This is a very difficult one to answer due to how fast the industry progresses every year. I honestly don't know. The net is changing rapidly and also the way we use it. Web technologies are advancing all the time. Its just like we never thought the telephone would end up a mobile device that we could fit in our pockets, who ever thought that TV would go colour or radio go digital. You just can't see what the future holds. Anything could happen, but I'm certainly excited for the future of Web Design.

Q: What computers do you have use in your offices, PCs or Macs?
A: Both PC and Mac

Q: How was your company name chosen?
A: We changed our name from 5HQ to Bamboo because it seemed a more friendly and approachable word, and also less geeky. Its simple, current, green, with an element of zen. This is what Bamboo is all about, friendly, approachable and a relaxing environment to be in.

Q: If you were to give your clients one tip on how to get the most from their website what would it be?
A: As its known in the Web Design industry... Content Is King! Content...content...content. We always stress this to our clients. Provide good, descriptive, informative and relevant content, and Google will love you for it and your website will take off.
