Q: Describe your company in 5 words.
A: professional, modern, personal, efficient, competent

Q: What's your business philosophy?
A: To provide a personal service with a completely non jargon approach. Taking the care to talk through all requirements with our customers, devise a clear plan of action and to explain fully everything that will be involved during the process.

Q: Describe your office environment.
A: I am a one man band but work in my own office with a number of screens on the go at any one time. I have a nice outlook into the garden and love working in my own environment.

Q: Describe how your team interact and work together.
A: It is just me.

Q: What makes you different from other web design companies?
A: The personal service. All my customers have commented on how attentive and relaxed they have felt when dealing with my company. They have felt very clear in what is expected both from them and my company. We also offer extremely affordable rates that tend to be more affordable than similar companies in the area,

Q: How do you get the majority of your business?
A: Through my website so far but a couple of customers have contacted me through local advertising.

Q: Describe how you manage projects from the initial client contact to completion and handover.
A: Initial meeting where we draw up a complete plan of action in plain English and then a quotation is provided based on this plan. On acceptance of the quotation another meeting will be held to go more into detail on the website itself. Regular contact throughout the build process and clear deadlines for showing the first draft. Amendments are then made leading to a final version and handover.

Q: What do you think is the most crucial element of creating a good client relationship?
A: Being friendly and getting to know the clients needs and wants. Listening carefully to their aim and delivering according to their specification and to timescales set.

Q: How do you manage demanding clients?
A: By talking. A client may only be demanding because they are very clear in what they want and when they want it. Discussing requirements carefully and being very clear on what you both have to do help ease the stress on the client and therefore they become less demanding.

Q: If a client was trying to decide between a shortlist of web design companies, how would you recommend they go about selecting the right one for them?
A: Ensure the company is offering the services they require and within their budget. Talk to the company and find out if you can work with them. Check out their background, experience and maybe even talk to some of their previous clients.

Q: Where do you see your company in 10 years time?
A: With a good size portfolio and a lot more knowledge. This business is always growing and changing and in 10 years time the increase in knowledge and experience gained will be large. Of course, lots of happy customers is a must.

Q: Where do you see the web design industry in the future?
A: Completely different. You just need to look at new technologies introduced over the previous 10 years and the change to the Internet as a whole.

Q: What computers do you have use in your offices, PCs or Macs?
A: Both PC and Mac

Q: How was your company name chosen?
A: I live in Amesbury in a place called Archers Gate. The Amesbury Archer has quite a history in this area and the school is also called Amesbury Archer. Archers Web Design seemed to fit in well with this.

Q: If you were to give your clients one tip on how to get the most from their website what would it be?
A: Content that is interesting and well presented. If this is followed then the viewer will want to read on and the more chance others will link to your site. Of course, getting your website noticed is the challenge but if the content is not there then you have nowhere to start.
