Cargo Recording Studios which were located in Rochdale during the 1970′s and 80′s. The studios attracted musicians and groups such as Joy Division, the Fall, OMD, DAF and many hundreds more from all parts of the UK and Europe. The client required a website re-design. We updated the old website so that it displays on both full size and mobile screens, and attached a user friendly content management system so that John can easily keep the website updated himself.

Claire is a very talented designer and she was great to work with keeping me up to date at all stages of my website development.

I had an idea for my business image and Claire did a wonderful job of putting this together on my website, logo and my business card design. I wanted to go for a fresh contemporary feel that fit in with my three main types of photography, wedding, portrait and newborn. I love the design and how it works for all three.

Claire was very helpful and insightful, and any idea that I had she managed to understand and put it together. I’d highly recommend Claire to anyone & hope to keep in touch with her.

A: We’re lucky enough to work from an office at home, so it’s fairly relaxed and chilled.

A: The team is just the two of us. We work together by discussing each project in dept and combining our skills to deliver high quality websites.

Q: What makes you different from other web design companies?
A: Being a small company we’re friendly and approachable. We don’t confuse our clients with jargon – we keep things simple and work with them to understand their business needs, and put forward ideas we think will help them succeed online. We always put our client’s first, are honest with our recommendations, and never try to sell them something they don’t want or don’t need!

Q: How do you get the majority of your business?
A: We get most of our business through word of mouth – clients are happy with the service we provide and tell their friends about it.

A: We work closely with clients and keep them involved every step of the way.

Q: What do you think is the most crucial element of creating a good client relationship?
A: Being open and honest, and providing great customer service. If our client's aren't happy, then neither are we!

A: It’s important to establish clear expectations and keep clients informed of progress and any changes along the way. We find that by agreeing on the project scope from the beginning, being honest, and going that extra mile to help our clients out goes a long way towards building an effective working relationship.

Q: If a client was trying to decide between a shortlist of web design companies, how would you recommend they go about selecting the right one for them?
A: First of all see how good the developer’s own site is. Is it up-to-date and do you like their style? Check out their portfolio - they should show a good variety of work. See if they have provided customer testimonials to see how others view them. Ask for a quote, make sure you know what is included and if there are any recurring fees. Lastly make sure you get on with your web designers - getting the support and service you need is invaluable!
