A: XCEL Web Design lives up to its strapline of "delivering excellence" - we chose this strapline as we strongly believe that almost anything can be achieved if we try hard enough - that's why we expect all our web designers to exceed expectations or at the VERY least, meet them - where we fail, we put it right - that isn't compromised.
Q: Describe your office environment.
A: We work in a friendly, relaxed environment where we have access to other colleagues to help us out if we get stuck, and to share ideas and teach each other new skills on a regular basis.
It's all in the working culture we created.
Q: Describe how your team interact and work together.
A: We usually interact either face to face or over the phone, but we also use CRM systems to interact with each other so we know where each of us are up to in case one falls ill or any other unforeseen circumstances.
Q: What makes you different from other web design companies?
A: The key things that makes us different from other web design companies are that we teach our clients on how to update their website content if they need to, so they don't have to pay to have their website updated later down the line.
The other thing is that we donate a percentage of our INCOME (not profit) to charity every year.

A: The majority of our business comes from Search Engines and Word of Mouth.

A: Engage with the client regularly and constantly review the clients' needs.

A: Making sure the client understands what you're offering - that way there's no surprises. That's why we don't use jargon and put things in plain english.

A: We talk to all clients, including demanding ones. It's about understanding the clients' needs and managing expectations.
Q: If a client was trying to decide between a shortlist of web design companies, how would you recommend they go about selecting the right one for them?
A: Price is important obviously, but the client needs to understand the website - that's why a 'plain english' web design company would be handy, but you also need one that's not going to charge you 'maintainence' fees if you don't need them - that will just bump the price up later obviously.
