A: Driven, passionate, professional, caring and Welsh!

Q: What's your business philosophy?
A: Businesses should not miss out of being online due to high website design costs. At Gwe Cambrian Web we believe that providing modern and fresh websites is important to businesses who need to be seen online, and we want to help those businesses achieve that by providing modern but affordable websites.

Q: Describe your office environment.
A: We have a spacious office at Loveden House on Bridge Street in Aberystwyth - very convenient to the town and the office also has plenty of space for meetings. At Loveden House there is also a conference room and a meeting room which we are able to book for training sessions.

Q: Describe how your team interact and work together.
A: We are a partnership - Emlyn's department is coding, Kerry's department is designing. Anything else is discussed between us, generally over a cup of tea!

Q: What makes you different from other web design companies?
A: We offer bilingual websites (Welsh & English) as standard, and can also offer this as a service. Our hosting prices are very reasonable and use a reliable server. We can also train and offer advice for use of social media, an essential tool for any business.

Q: How do you get the majority of your business?
A: We are present on Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Pinterest which are very important for our business. We also have our own website which showcases our portfolio and services.

Q: Describe how you manage projects from the initial client contact to completion and handover.
A: The most important aspect is to always keep the client involved and to keep up communication.

Q: What do you think is the most crucial element of creating a good client relationship?
A: Where possible we like to meet with our clients to discuss their requirements and ideas. If we know something won't work, we'll look for solutions or other ways of approaching, while always being honest with the client and keeping the client up to date. We believe that keeping in contact throughout the design process is very important.

Q: How do you manage demanding clients?
A: In this case we would look into other options if the client wants a specific requirement, and come up with a variety of options which may also be suitable for the client. Being honest and not promising the world at the beginning is the best policy.

Q: If a client was trying to decide between a shortlist of web design companies, how would you recommend they go about selecting the right one for them?
A: We would recommend you contact each company and explain your requirements - perhaps ask for examples from their portfolios of similar websites. Don't always go for a company with a large portfolio - local/smaller businesses can tend to give you a better and friendly service!

Q: Where do you see your company in 10 years time?
A: We are looking to slowly expand the business over the next few years, working with local businesses and expanding over time. We feel that by offering a Welsh service and website as standard, that we can help many Welsh businesses, locally and further afield.

Q: Where do you see the web design industry in the future?
A: We believe that web design will go from strength to strength with the new technologies such as HTML5, expanding the possibilities and good design being increasingly more important.

Q: What computers do you have use in your offices, PCs or Macs?
A: PC

Q: How was your company name chosen?
A: We wanted a bilingual name to appeal to our Welsh customers. Living just outside of the Cambrian mountain range, the use of the word Cambrian was a fairly natural choice. "Gwe" is simply Welsh for web.

Q: If you were to give your clients one tip on how to get the most from their website what would it be?
A: One of the most handy tools is the use of statistics, tools such as Google Analytics. This shows you from where people find your website, which pages they visit most, how long they spend on your website - thus giving the opportunity for you to change your website to your potential customer needs. For tourism and hospitality, this tool has also been used as a method of saving on advertising costs.
