A: We receive the majority of our business from referrals - and that's the way we like it! We also promote our own services online via Search and Affiliate marketing.

Q: What do you think is the most crucial element of creating a good client relationship?
A: Honesty - we consult with our clients to provide them with all the options and outcomes and take great lengths to ensure we explain what these options mean. The client is always furnished with all the information to help them make informed decisions - not shoe-horned down the route we want them to take. We strive to give the client confidence by demonstrating how our strategy will work, by providing previous case studies. Creating close relations and a partnership approach with our clients means that we proactively keep them up-to-date and informed at every stage of the project. To achieve the best results we need them to do the same. By forging such partnerships with our clients it establishes long-term work relationships.

Q: How do you manage demanding clients?
A: We have worked with many demanding clients and we work with them in the same way as all or our clients - with a straight forward, plain speaking, honest approach. We don;t try to baffle them with marketing / techi speak. We provide them with all the information they need to put them firmly in the driving seat. We operate a tight ship which means that client projects and tightly managed - this helps the client keep abreast of all activities and ensures that we can avoid and complications as the project progresses.

Q: If a client was trying to decide between a shortlist of web design companies, how would you recommend they go about selecting the right one for them?
A: My suggestions would be to: - ask for case studies to prove success in the areas of online marketing that you are looking for. - ask for references and actually call these organisations and quiz them about their experience with the company - go and see the company and their offices - meet the team! - ask if work is carried out in-house or outsourced - ask them to present you with the ideal solution to your requirements

Q: Where do you see your company in 10 years time?
A: Bigger and better - with a number of our own boxed solutions for various online marketing needs. Although we hope to retain the personality and ethos of the business as a whole.

Q: Where do you see the web design industry in the future?
A: I see that all the various technologies and marketing activities converging - TV's will also have PC capabilities, and vice-versa. Marketing as a whole will become much more targeted and contextual as a result.

Q: What computers do you have use in your offices, PCs or Macs?
A: Both PC and Mac

Q: How was your company name chosen?
A: After lots of thought and discussion! We wanted a name that has longevity and has it's roots in tradition - as well as meaning change to reflect the environment we work in. Hence, “Alchemy” by definition, could be the only name; The power of transmuting something common into something precious.

Q: If you were to give your clients one tip on how to get the most from their website what would it be?
A: To view it through the eye's of their visitors - give them what they want and they will keep coming back. - define your goals clearly, with a priority list - ensure you think about the future needs of the site - think about how you expect to get traffic to your site, right from the beginning. -
