Q: What's your name and position in the company?
A: David I am the Founder of DR Adept

Q: Describe your company in 5 words.
A: Friendly, dedicated, innovative, resourceful, independant

Q: What's your business philosophy?
A: To create easily navigable sites that increase business for our clients.

A: Busy and friendly.

Q: What makes you different from other web design companies?
A: We listen and go the extra mile to ensure our websites are successful.

Q: How do you get the majority of your business?
A: Word of mouth recommendations.

Q: Describe how you manage projects from the initial client contact to completion and handover.
A: We discuss the requirements, draw up a contract, once a deposit is received we start work on the initial designs, tweaking and updating as necessary. As soon as the client is happy with the design we code and setup a test site that can be navigated. Once everyone is happy we make the site live and supply training, if required, for updating the site.

Q: What do you think is the most crucial element of creating a good client relationship?
A: Keeping in contact and listening.

Q: How do you manage demanding clients?
A: Try to understand their needs and explain what is available to them.

Q: If a client was trying to decide between a shortlist of web design companies, how would you recommend they go about selecting the right one for them?
A: View the portfolio of each company and see what you like, check out the live websites and not just the pictures on the portfolio site as the sites may not have even made it to the web, another design may have been used or the company may not be trading any more.

Q: Where do you see your company in 10 years time?
A: Mentoring young people who have a desire to work in this field and possibly starting to employ.

Q: Where do you see the web design industry in the future?
A: More transparency and a better understanding of the general public regarding what websites are and what they are capable of especially in relation to helping their business.

Q: What computers do you have use in your offices, PCs or Macs?
A: Mac

Q: How was your company name chosen?
A: DR comes from my initials David Radisic and ADEPT came from an adventure game language I created while working with Infocom on their Zork adventures., it stood for ADvanced Environment Program Translator, but it also means good at doing stuff and was used in one of my favourite books The Robot Adept series by Piers Anthony.

Q: If you were to give your clients one tip on how to get the most from their website what would it be?
A: Make sure visitors can quickly and easily find what they want and for them to trust you make sure you let them know how to contact you in the real world not just via email.
