One of our clients has reported being scammed this morning by a fake email pretending to be from iTunes.

The fake email invites you to click on a link to verify your details at which point, if you enter your details, the scammers then have your account information.

In the case of the client that reported this a purchase of 200 tracks was carried out without the clients knowledge.

If you receive an email like this you can forward it to reportphishing@apple.com

You can also contact apple support via this link https://expresslane.apple.com/GetproductgroupList.action

A copy of the fake email received by our client can be seen on our blog at http://www.iowgeekblog.co.uk/apple-itunes-scam-email-warning/
