Barbara Levy Kipper is Chairman of the Chas. Levy Company, the 115 year old business her grandfather founded. The company distributes books to mass-market retailers nationally. Barbara's true passion for photography was ignited in 2002 after a frustrating six month stint trying to be a watercolorist. She ultimately decided it was an art form for which she had little talent. Photographic color and composition somehow came naturally although not without their own frustrations. It has been a joyous relationship ever since. That there is also attendant gear, books and color accuracy to research just adds to the enjoyment

James Johnston

James Johnston

Project Manager
James Johnston enjoys the oft-underrated moment of crossing items off his to-do list and is always appreciative of a job well done. He excels at keeping track of details, keeping people happy, and keeping the rest of his compatriots in line, all of which happen to be great skills if you're a project manager or the leader of a band. Incidentally, James is both. He has worked his way into a position of responsibility everywhere he has been, from a nineteen year old talent relations and production assistant at MTV in New York, to manager of a popular Chicago recording studio at 26, and now project manager at Mightybytes. He also has significant audio and music production knowledge, which comes in handy in his role as lead singer for the band Bumpus.

Joy Burke

Joy Burke

Art Director
Joy Burke has come a long way since her days assembling burgers at the Steak n’ Shake in Effingham, Illinois. She has traded burgers for beziers and now spends most of her time making the world a more beautiful place one pixel at a time. Joy is a 2007 graduate of the Visual Communications program at the Illinois Institute of Art where she won Best in Show for Innovative Design on her portfolio.

When not creating award-winning design work, Joy likes to play soccer, kickball, banjo and piano, attend music shows and fests, and work the runway as a house model for Vidal Sassoon.

Tim Frick

Tim Frick

Principal
Tim spent his formative years as a DJ/VJ, publicity writer, and educational television producer before discovering the joy of interactivity and a good hover state. Since then, he has provided creative and interactive media services to an extensive client list.

He has held positions on the board of the Association for Multimedia Communications and the advisory committees of numerous Chicago-based higher learning institutions. He regularly speaks at conferences and gives workshops on a variety of design, web, and digital marketing-related topics.

Tim is the author of two books:

"Managing Interactive Media Projects" - an interactive media process guide from Delmar-Cengage Learning

"Return on Engagement: Content, Strategy and Design Techniques for Digital Marketing from Focal Press."

Tim has contributed to a variety of publications, including Marketing Profs, Spin Sucks, and Business Insider, to name a few.

Tim also serves on the board of Climate Ride, the national bike ride for sustainable solutions and the advisory council for Eco-Andersonville.
