Ashley was great! She took the time to understand what I was looking for in a website, helped me out with the feel and design, and when the time came produced a rather "sweet" looking site. She was quite friendly and open to deal with. Almost every consideration I had was incorporated into the final product, and at the end she instructed me on how to update and maintain my site on my own. If you have need for a designer who is both talented and caring, go with FARR DESIGN -- You'll thank yourself for the adventure!
Well, I don't know where to start..I am so THRILLED with what Ashley Farrand did to re-design my site. She was able to completely grab the concept of what I wanted for my new fantasy book series, The Persephane Pendrake Chronicles..the feel, the look and making it compelling for visitors to stay and read about my series.
All through the process she conferred with me on how I felt about each step and followed my lead, giving me the results I frankly never thought another person could achieve. We authors treat our books like our kids..and want the best visual interpretation for our site to express the mood and emotions of the book, drawing readers in and evoking in our web site visitors the need to stay...to read more...and ultimately want to purchase the book and make it their own.
Ashley not only succeeded to make this a reality..in my opinion, she went above and beyond what I ever dreamed could be done.
If this woman charged 3X what she does...believe me...she'd still be underpaid. There are billions of web sites out there...having a designer who can make yours stand out is..well...priceless!

Ashley Farrand at Farr Design was a pleasure to work with. The lines of communication regarding the design and function of my new website stayed open (and continue to stay open). She encouraged and answered my questions. There was a great give and take in the planning and set up of the site. I'm thrilled with the final outcome. She integrated my blog into the website, which was my primary goal, and I got a beautiful, sleek, sophisticated new design as well. She even set up my News and Appearances page as a "blog" even though visitors can't tell! She did that because I requested a News and Appearances page that I could easily update myself instead of having to go back to her for help each time I needed to post a scheduled appearance or link to an interview.
We had a little trouble at first transferring my existing blogger blog to the new Wordpress blog she integrated with my site. However, Ashley was determined and diligent in sticking with it until everything was working perfectly.
Thanks you, Farr Design!
Ashley Farrand, at Farrdesign, contacted me about improving my website. I'm glad I agreed--her service was professional, pleasant, and very creative. There was a night and day difference between what I'd posted, and what Ashley designed for my business (she improved the graphics, links, and even the overall message to my customers). I highly recommend Ashley to anyone looking to create or upgrade their website!
