Selecting the Appropriate CMS

In the case of a web portal content uploading, editing or deleting operations are frequent and they have to be done quickly also to ensure e commerce transactions. While using CMS a lot of people can work on the website to update the content quickly. Ecommerce portals are highly benefited with the use of CMS .The changes can be uploaded directly without interruptions. Most of the CMS makes it easy for the persons with out coding knowledge can also maintain the website. A web content management system is used to control a dynamic collection of Web material, including html documents, images etc.,

You can modify your content as per your requirement or save it for later publication with valid username and password. Besides, open source content management system gets you rid of common errors and coding bugs. It is very easy to install CMS. There are popular CMS systems such as Joomla, Drupal , WordPress, Magento etc., Joomla can be easy to work at but it has certain limitations also.

Limitation of Joomla

Drupal is a big, large, open community, and is not centralized. So a lot of stuff tends to bubble up. For example, for Drupal 7, there were about a thousand people contributing code to the release, not counting working on documentation and other things that went into the project. Joomla, has a much smaller core development team and not large no of developers working on Joomla.

Every year Drupal conducts big conferences on in Europe and another in USA. This ensures Drupal developers get together and interact. It’s in the middle between a CMS and a framework, with the flexibility of a CMS and the functionality of a framework. It is easy to work out tight third-party system integration with Drupal that wouldn’t be possible with s any other CMS systems.

When the developers don’t understand basic object oriented techniques like object inheritance, you’ll have more trouble with Joomla. With Drupal, you can typically find the piece of functionality you want to change in one single spot, and make your changes. In Joomla you have to work in multiple locations to fix an issue like a particular theme.

Drupal is more useful for developers, it has more extensibility; it has more power to create better modules. As Google has now launched Caffeine, page speed is an issue and in Joomla, g zipping of images has to be done carefully. Similarly it is difficult when the canonical URL issue arises. We have to use ht access to redirect the non www to www or vice verse.

Yet Opine info solutions have got the experience to deal the issues carefully. We customize the Joomla in the administrative end with the SEO settings and make our Joomla sites to be search engine optimized websites. Whenever the client leaves the option to use any CMS we prefer to work with Drupal .Joomla is ideal for the designers and Drupal is best for developers and Drupal can handle medium sized interactive databases. Joomla can handle only small data bases. We select Drupal as it can be modified in the future to accommodate more modules.
