FDC plugs new website deal with electrical contractors
2 August 2010
Leicestershire design agency FDC has sparked a deal to design and create a new website for Felixstowe electrical contracting company, Elec-Check.
Elec-Check, specialists in industrial and commercial electrical contracting, enlisted the help of FDC to design and build their new website, as a tool to brighten up their image.
Since Elec-Check was founded as a joint venture in 2006 by Tony Ardern and his partner, the company has rapidly expanded, recently seeing the addition of a fire prevention division to their profile.
With clients such as Felixstowe Port, where the company is based, and Thames port, Elec-Check is now focusing on providing energy saving solutions to their customers in a bid to keep on top of the latest eco-friendly requirements.
Elec-Check made the decision to work with FDC on their new website due to the design agency’s portfolio, and the commitment FDC showed towards them as a potential client.
Director and Co-Founder of Elec-Check, Tony Ardern, said: “I consulted a number of design agencies to find the right company to create the website that I was looking for. Although FDC was middle of the road on price, they were right on top with the quality of work they had done in the past for other clients.
“Obviously FDC is not a local business to us, but they were willing to make the effort to travel and visit us, and to show us what they had done previously. I had an idea of how I wanted the website to be laid out, but they were very helpful in giving us ideas of how to get the most out of our budget, and how the website could contend with our competitors in the electrical industry.
“I trust the competency of FDC, so I feel happy to leave the hard work to them, and let them get on with the design. I look forward to seeing what they will come up with.”
FDC Account Manager, Gregg Randall, said: “Elec-Check is an up-and-coming business who wanted to get results from a new website to improve their business further. While FDC already has clients in the industrial sector, Elec-Check is the first electrical company that we have worked with. We are looking forward to this new challenge and the opportunity to be able to expand our client base further. This will allow us to provide knowledgeable advice for other clients in the future, in the same way that we can now offer a wide range of expertise due to the work we have done for clients in the past.”
