WWDC:
Describe your company in 5 words.
Which Door Ltd:
”Imaginative, efficient, effective, trustworthy, ethical”
WWDC:
Where do you see your company in 10 years time?
Which Door Ltd:
”We believe that in 10 years time more companies will be operating online businesses to cut the cost of their overheads. 10 years ago, who would have imagined that supermarkets would have online ordering facilities and deliver groceries to the doorstep; or that you could order your take away online and have it delivered to your door? Online shopping has made life easier for the consumer and as online businesses increase Which Door will expand to meet the demand just as it has done during the last three years.
”
WWDC:
How was your company name chosen?
Which Door Ltd:
”In short, there are millions of website designers. When you are looking for one, we advise a company rather than an individual; a company that has accountants, solicitors, programmers, directors, administrators as well as designers. When you have a choice of company you have a choice of doors to walk though. “WHICH DOOR” will your business choose?”

Just like to say thanks to Which Door for the design of our new website, brilliant work by all concerned. We, and our customers, are particularly impressed with the image gallery which has proved to be a real bonus allowing new customers to view our storage facilities online. Pleasure working with you and will definitely do so in the future. Once again many thanks
Well done Which Door you have delivered us an appropriate site for our services and products. The bold masculine colour combinations are great and the quirky valve navigation buttons, very appropriate for us as engineers. What could have been a boring if informative website is now one that it is a pleasure to visit. The whole process for us was painless and we were impressed by how quickly your team grasped the concept and delivered within the time agreed. Would gladly work with you again.
A job well done Which Door. You delivered a brilliant, easy to read home improvement website, with all the information included that we had asked for. Delighted with the end result so thanks to all your team. The testimonial page is getting filled and adds a nice touch for new customers to see that others are pleased to recommend us, cheers for that idea.
Our co-operation with whichdoor began last year and they are an absolute pleasure to work with. They have a team full of cutting-edge talent, who are dedicated and passionate for web design and development. They are also friendly, flexible, accommodating, and patient. When you combine those highly valued intangible elements with whichdoor’s impeccable technical know-how, expertise, and creativity, you get a truly formidable force.
Whichdoor have played a huge role in Irish Centre Online expansion and have created for us an outstanding and unique creative style that fulfills our required needs completely and that has given us the foundation to build a fantastic thriving community of which we are very proud.
I’d just like to give a quick thank you to all of you at Which Door.
We have needed to redesign our website for quite some time but have always been nervous about the cost and effectiveness of sorting it out. Everything through Which Door has been dealt with with speed, courteousness and simplicity. The whole process was explained to us within the first call and we were made to feel completely at ease, you took away the pressure and worries that come with creating a new website.
The design that you came up with was top notch, the free design of a mock was something that no one else has ever offered us, and we were happy to go ahead as soon as you delivered the mock within the 48 hour time frame that had been promised. Already we are finding that our current clients love the new layout and easier navigation and we have also received positive feedback from new clients who have found us since the new website went live. I will have no hesitation in recommending Which Door in the future. It is the most pain free experience we have had since first setting out with a website for the business.
I wish you well for the future,
We received a phone call from Which Door regarding a website at just the right time. We had been making enquiries about having a new website built but it was difficult to choose the right company. When I first spoke to Matthew he was very polite and explained to me in detail what they could offer and the services they provided. He explained that they could produce a 'mock page' of the website free of charge so we could see their ideas before we made a decision.
This was a perfect solution for us so we described the image we wanted to portray, provided the company logos and within 24 hours we received the 'mock up' version. We were so impressed with what they had produced we immediately decided to purchase the website and within a week we had our website up and running.
Which Door produced a bespoke website for an excellent price and provided excellent customer service. Matthew and his colleagues were a pleasure to deal with and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
Our experience with Which Door was an absolute pleasure from beginning to end. We needed a modern more professional look to our website and one of the things that attracted us to Which Door was their offer to produce designs without us having to pay upfront. Since we weren’t really sure what we wanted this service played an important part in our decision to use Which Door.
Darren and his team came up with some original and creative concepts and you only have to look at our website to see how well they did. They have totally grasped the essence of what our business is about and we could not have wished for a more professional image. The price was unbelievable in terms of the work they put into it; the after sales service is constantly available and if we need any help there is always someone at Which Door willing to assist no matter what time of the day or night.
We would have no hesitation in recommending Which Door to our friends and business associates because they provide a truly outstanding service.
Christopher Brown
Sales Director
Chris is officially our Sales Director and he does manage our Sales Team but during the last 18 months most of our new business comes from customer referrals, so Chris also takes responsibility for customer service and aftercare; liaising with the Dedicated Account Managers, ensuring that all of our clients have exactly what they ordered and that any problems they encounter are dealt with in an efficient and timely manner. Chris has a warm, cheerful personality and can be guaranteed to motivate and put a smile on anyone’s face. If you are going to be made an April fool it will be Chris who is behind it 9 times out of 10. His claim to fame is that before joining Which Door he worked as chef for 20 years whilst living in Penny Lane. We don’t know whether he actually cooked for the Beatles!
Daren Galvin
Managing Director
Darren is the boss and is responsible for the general running of the business. Despite being necessarily authoritative at times Darren makes sure that he interacts with all members of the Which Door team. Whilst most of the team have artistic temperaments, as can be expected in design, Darren is the most prone to worrying that everything is exactly right. He is also most likely to have “Eureka” moments, solving problems and coming up with excellent creative ideas. Darren is a “hands on” Director who will go out of his way to ensure that all members of staff are happy and content in their work.
Gina O’Gorman
P.A to Directors
A younger and more attractive version of Edna out of Emmerdale, Gina rules the office as far as organisation is concerned. Gina worked with Darren in one of his other business interests before being invited to join the Which Door team and is responsible for all of the following:
• Handling all phone calls
• Deals with all invoices
• Managing both director’s calendars
• Arranging meetings
• Keeping office clean and tidy
• Makes a lovely cup of coffee
As can be seen, Gina will turn her hand to anything; it would be hard to envisage the business without her skills in keeping everything in its place, clearing up after everybody and ensuring that the company image is upheld from first contact.
Graham Lomax
Senior Account Manager.
Graham deals with requests from our clients, making sure they are 100% happy. Overseeing the work of all dedicated account managers he ensures that they maintain excellent levels of customer care. Graham has a great sense of humour and makes a fantastic cup of coffee. Hard working and committed Graham is a valued member of the Which Door Team.
James Howse
SEO /Technical Manger
James works alongside the SEO team and is responsible for:
• Creating SEO reports
• Dealing with all technical enquiries
• Building client CMS Systems
James also previously worked with Darren in one of his other companies and is a technical genius. He is the least extrovert in the team and quietly works away unnoticed until something important arises when he will pop up in places that you least expect him to be. His detailed analysis of SEO is awe inspiring not only in terms of what the clients’ websites are doing but just as importantly; what their competitors are achieving in the search engine rankings and how! James is particularly responsible for the outstanding CMS systems that we have built for many of our clients.
Karl Shin
Out Of Hours Manager
Operating in the twilight zone Karl will be at the other end of a telephone no matter what hour of night or morning it may be. Well versed in all aspects of the business, Karl is able to deal with all “out of hours” requests and queries. One of the reasons that Which Door has been so successful is its ability to work 24 hours around the clock and it would be hard to find a more dedicated night manager than Karl.
Kelvin Harris
Design Team Manager
Kelvin is a highly qualified and experienced web designer managing his own team of 6 professional web designers on a daily basis. It is fascinating to watch the design team working closely together, bouncing ideas off each other and producing magnificent concepts right through to the finished website. Although Kelvin is the manager, he is very hands on and prefers to work “with the team” rather than the team working “for” him. He has earned a great deal of respect from his colleagues and from Which Door clients with his creative approach. Kelvin seems to have a unique permanent bank of ideas in his head and is quick to relate to clients’ requirements, matching his ideas to their corporate necessities.
Marian Amos
Finance Manager
It is necessary in an office where there are so many artistically talented people to keep a close eye on budgets and financial matters. Marian ensures that clients’ budgets are adhered to and that the company balance sheet remains healthy. Her expertise has contributed enormously to Which Door’s success and everyone in the company relies on Marian to ensure that we don’t spend too much money, that we deliver to clients what we promise and at the price we have quoted – not a penny more.
Stephanie Cairns
Business Development Manager
Stephanie is a mine of information when it comes to marketing opportunities, compiling data on prospective clients and competitors, generating enquiries for potential sales, keeping us informed about economic trends and identifying new markets.
Her highly organized approach to evaluating our business has led to rapid expansion and allowed Which Door to quickly achieve its goals on so many levels. Her expertise is invaluable when assessing the design of websites so that our clients’ businesses can achieve full potential through a visual medium.
Many business managers complain that their creativity is stifled by people at the top but this is not the case as far as Which Door is concerned. Creativity and innovative techniques in identifying new business opportunities are actively encouraged. Surrounded by artistic, creative talent, Stephanie is never short of someone to discuss her ideas with and regularly gathers valuable input from other members of the team.
With competition high in the current economic downturn, Which Door perceives the services of a qualified Business Manager as essential to any business as opposed to an option as it once was when the economy was buoyant.
For those clients who cannot afford a Business Manager at this time, Stephanie is available to offer advice on how to develop a new website or rejuvenate an existing site to exploit changes in customers’ requirements or tastes. You have nothing to lose by giving her a call and possibly an enormous amount to gain.
Tina Reeves
Content Writers Manager
Tina recently joined Which Door to manage our small but highly talented team of content writers who produce SEO articles, blogs and web content for a wide range of clients’ websites. Tina is an experienced writer and her background spans 22 years in marketing which gives her not only a good eye for copy but also a talent for creating content that sells. She and her team also proofread all content submitted by clients or created elsewhere to make sure that the copy maintains its flow and is grammatically correct. Her personality and work ethic is consistent with the other members of the Which Door team and she can be relied upon to produce work at short notice no matter what time of the day or night it is, from the shortest email to the longest web page. “The Department of Words” often burns the midnight oil!

What makes you different from other web design companies?
Which Door Ltd:
”Well we love this part - “We design before you pay”. There are many things that you can try before you buy so we couldn’t see any reason why this should not be the case with website design. We also offer stage payments for start up businesses because we understand how difficult the first year in business can be. Each client has access to a dedicated account manager ensuring liaison on a one to one basis with regular updates and reports.”
WWDC:
How do you get the majority of your business?
Which Door Ltd:
”In the first two years most of our business was obtained through telephone sales marketing but since late 2010 to date customer referrals are our main source of new business. From inception we had a vision to be recognised as a trusted, ethical, transparent website design company and a number one source for referrals. Our clients have helped us to achieve this vision not only with their own projects but through those that they have referred to us. We are in the enviable position whereby we no longer have to cold call for business.”
WWDC:
Describe how you manage projects from the initial client contact to completion and handover.
Which Door Ltd:
”Communication is the key to good management and by appointing a dedicated account manager, the client is always kept fully informed from inception to completion. Design concepts are produced until the client is happy that the website matches their expectations. Which Door Ltd:
”Honesty, ethical practice, communication and vision.”

We have worked on projects from clients who have told us before we start “I will be your worst nightmare”. We are now the best of friends. We know what makes a successful website and will offer constructive advice but the final decision belongs to the client ”
WWDC:
If a client was trying to decide between a shortlist of web design companies, how would you recommend they go about selecting the right one for them?
Which Door Ltd:
”Don’t pay anything upfront, ensure the designs match your requirements; make a test call at 8pm to establish that you can contact the company 24/7; ask questions see what type of response you to get and ring existing clients see what they have to say (we always tell our prospective clients to do this). ”
WWDC:

WWDC:
If you were to give your clients one tip on how to get the most from their website what would it be?
Which Door Ltd:
”After you have chosen the design that best matches your corporate identity or the expectations that you have, SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) is the most important thing you need to do. It is pointless having the best website in the world if virtually no one can see it. As search engines become more sophisticated in the way they rank web pages you need to have a good working knowledge of SEO or use a company like us to manage your website. Achieving high ranking for your site needs professional attention if you want to gain new business.
