webby websites:
”Cool, Creative, innovative, professional fun ”
WWDC:
What's your business philosophy?
webby websites:
”To be good at what I do and not try to be all things to all people, I build websites because that's what I am good at ”
WWDC:
Describe your office environment.
webby websites:
”I work from home as a freelance designer so my office is my living room......so i guess its comfy with unlimited cups of tea”
WWDC:
Describe how your team interact and work together.
webby websites:
”I don't really have a team but I have a few designer friends who I work with on some projects from time to time. We all went to uni together so we all get on really well and have a laugh.....we sometimes sit around watching tv but we always get the job done and on time... somehow lol”
WWDC:
What makes you different from other web design companies?
webby websites:
”I work mostly alone so my clients deal with me from start to finish unlink a large company who will pass you around from different departments.
I will not rest until my client is 100% happy with their project and I am on call 24/7 as I love what I do.”
WWDC:
How do you get the majority of your business?
webby websites:
”Word of mouth mostly and my designer friends put a lot of work my way because im the greatest web designer they know and I'm cheap lol”
WWDC:
Describe how you manage projects from the initial client contact to completion and handover.
webby websites:
”Depending on the client really, some people know exactly what they want, others don't. After finding out what they want, gathering company info etc I will draw up a design maybe on paper or photoshop. I will usually email this to the client but will meet if that's what they want. We will then go through any changes that need to be made, if any I will gather images and text at this point and give the client a deadline for which the project will be completed. If they are happy we will go ahead with the design. Once the final design is completed we will have a final meeting and if all is well the site will go live and I will get paid. The handover will always include uploading the site to the server and I will retain the original development files”
WWDC:
What do you think is the most crucial element of creating a good client relationship?
webby websites:
”You need to listen to your clients, do not sell them anything they do not need after all the customer is always right..”
WWDC:
How do you manage demanding clients?
webby websites:
”I can be quite demanding myself so I am understanding of this personality trait, however I am very diplomatic and able to deal with most situations.”
WWDC:
If a client was trying to decide between a shortlist of web design companies, how would you recommend they go about selecting the right one for them?
webby websites:
”You basically need the right man for the job don't you, there's no point hiring someone to do you a full eCommerce shop if they only know how to build a 1 page website.
Then again all companies try to be everything to everyone, so maybe talking to a few designers would be a better way to chose the right company.”
WWDC:
Where do you see your company in 10 years time?
webby websites:
”Hopefully with a full client base and lots more work coming in, I would love to take on some fun and whacky projects.”
WWDC:
Where do you see the web design industry in the future?
webby websites:
”I do think its getting harder to sell your skills as a web designer because everyone claims to be one these days....all I can say is your not get a professional lol”
WWDC:
What computers do you have use in your offices, PCs or Macs?
webby websites:
”Mac”
WWDC:
How was your company name chosen?
webby websites:
”My name is Debbie, Debbie Webby Webby Websites lol”
WWDC:
If you were to give your clients one tip on how to get the most from their website what would it be?
webby websites:
”Make sure it reflects what you do on the front page because people don't want to guess. Also a unique and eye catching design is good as people will remember it..helps if they remember the name too of course ”
