WWDC: What's your name and position in the company?
The Web Studio @ UKCMS: Technical Lead

WWDC: Describe your company in 5 words.
The Web Studio @ UKCMS: Online Business Professional

WWDC: What's your business philosophy?
The Web Studio @ UKCMS: We don't make websites, we put your Business Online. We are an All-Business-Experience Agency - we introduce you to established businesses/services and business networks. We can even provide Business Mentors if required.

WWDC: Describe your office environment.
The Web Studio @ UKCMS: Shop Front setup in Chingford E4. Free parking with large meeting rooms. All work is carried out onsite - we do not send projects abroad.

WWDC: Describe how your team interact and work together.
The Web Studio @ UKCMS: Operating on flexi-time, our team members work both from home and on-site; we all work together on-site at least 2 days a week. On any day of the week, there are always at least 2 members of the team on-site.

WWDC: What makes you different from other web design companies?
The Web Studio @ UKCMS: Our team comes from numerous sectors: Education, Law, IT and Marketing. We pool resources, thinking and experience to produce real-life solutions.

WWDC: How do you get the majority of your business?
The Web Studio @ UKCMS: We gain all our business from networking.

WWDC: What do you think is the most crucial element of creating a good client relationship?
The Web Studio @ UKCMS: Hinesty and transparency.

WWDC: How do you manage demanding clients?
The Web Studio @ UKCMS: We refuse to buy into a clients "urgency". Each project is unique and requires proper focus and time. We always do out best as a team fulfill any request - however demanding!

WWDC: If a client was trying to decide between a shortlist of web design companies, how would you recommend they go about selecting the right one for them?
The Web Studio @ UKCMS: Not every design agency provides the right service for a client brief. An informal sit-down meeting over coffee with each design company is a great way to shortlist - get to know who will be publishing you to the world!

WWDC: Where do you see your company in 10 years time?
The Web Studio @ UKCMS: As a Business Centre, we have already evolved to our planned next stage offering full business services. In 10 years, we plan to be providing finance options for start-ups and full training across all our services (including non-web based products).

WWDC: Where do you see the web design industry in the future?
The Web Studio @ UKCMS: Unfortunately, we see more web design work sent abroad. This is a shame and will have a negative effect on the quantity of available talent in the UK. At UKCMS, all work will always be carried out here in the UK.

WWDC: What computers do you have use in your offices, PCs or Macs?
The Web Studio @ UKCMS: PC

WWDC: How was your company name chosen?
The Web Studio @ UKCMS: Originally, we specialised Content Management Systems - and all our work is completed in the UK. Hence, UK CMS.

WWDC: If you were to give your clients one tip on how to get the most from their website what would it be?
The Web Studio @ UKCMS: Remember, your website is not printed! Modify, append and add as your business model does!
