L'Esprit Spa gave us the task to create a prestigious web presence that would serve them for the future L'Esprit Spa were looking for a website to provide information on the services they offered and information on their company. When they approached us we knew we could provide the solution that would take their breathe away. After we had carried out our initial interview with the Manageress, Jessica to gain insight into what was required of the website, and how it was invisioned to affect the business we created a development plan. It was decided that the website should look professional with calm soothing colours. On our advice, it was decided that Flash should be used to provide an attractive and appealing header for the homepage only. It was also decided that each area of services offered should have it's own page on the website. During the next week we worked closely with Jessica to produce a mock that was exactly what was wanted. We also used this time to collect a series of photo's from the spa to use in the creation of the flash header and the header for all the other pages of the site. We then had a meeting with Jessica to produce a list of pages, collect images for these pages, and to work out the copy for the pages. Once we had gathered these vital items we continued to turn the mock image in to HTML code which is understood by Web Browsers. We also at this time laid out all the pages and created all the content for the website. We took this creation to Jessica to seek her input and comments about how the design is looking and any changes that were required in the copy. After changing a couple of images around to better reflect the product that is being represented, Jessica was happy with this stage of the design. We then set about creating a flash header for the homepage, and met with Jessica to lay out the order in which images would be used and how the flash would work. Once we had this agreed, we went on to create the flash code to make this work, and added this into the website. We then went back to Jessica for comments, and after swapping the order of two images this site was approved. The total time to completion was 1 Month, and the only comments Jessica had at the end of this time were "You and your designers are very professional, quick and "in tune" as to my website needs!" Since the completion of the website, L'Esprit Spa has noted a increase in bookings and enquiries through the internet, and have recouped the cost of creating the website many times over.
