Reviews
reddishpink have exceeded all expectations and I would happily recommend their services. We are delighted with our website and working with reddishpink allows us to update and manipulate the site as much or as little as needed to keep it up to date and as user friendly as possible.
All alterations are done pretty much right away and the designers are always readily available.
They are great at explaining what they're doing without using too much jargon making everything very clear and easy to understand.
Julie Blackwood, Institute of Directors Scotland
For pascha*pr, the team at reddishpink did a fantastic job of creating the corporate ID, designing the company’s stationery and website. I knew from our initial meeting with their team that this was a forward thinking, creative agency that I wanted to work with, to produce an impressive image for my company. reddishpink was great to deal with, attentive and delivered the excellent results I was looking for within the timeframe and budget agreed. I would highly recommend them.
I received excellent communication throughout the whole process, including clarification of design brief, costs and time scales, with Reddishpink taking great initial care to fully understand their clients needs. They also showed the required flexibility as the website took shape and brought their own creativity and solutions as required. They were enthused by the project which was a sustaining factor throughout, and took pride in getting things right, dealing with any complications expediently. Their attention to client's needs and requests was excellent and I was very happy with the outcome.
The guys re-did our website in record time. Always available when you need them and ready to give you a heads up if there is a problem. Would recommend to anybody in need of advice, a professional approach and a great looking website. I know that if we need to call on reddish pink's services again, the job will be done properly!
We have been clients of Reddish Pink's for approx. 4 years, during this period they have created two websites for us. On each occassion we met to brief them as to what we required and on each occassion they understood what we wanted, suggested the best way to go about this and then go to work. We liked what they did and we like what they do, they're helpful, friendly, go the extra mile and do what they say they'll do. If only more companies were like Reddish Pink.
We've used a number of web designers over the past ten years and none of them have come anywhere near reddishpink for vision, creativity and sheer determination to get the job done. They use the word authenticity a lot and they mean it - they worked with us to ensure the website met the real needs of our clients - they didn't just take our word for what should be included, they did the research both on our clients and our competition and produced something which we think is better, stronger and more effective than any of our earlier websites and the majority of our competitors. We're delighted.

Prior to forming reddishpink, he worked in senior roles for leading London, Edinburgh and Manchester agencies on some of the UK’s biggest accounts.
Mark combines the energy, passion and enthusiasm of a new recruit with the considered, level-headed approach that only years of experience allow.
Mark would hold overall responsibility for your project. He’ll ensure that it develops in-line with your objectives and would be your day to day contact for the project.
WWDC:
What's your name and position in the company?
reddishpink:
”Jeff Godek, Web Designer”
WWDC:
Describe your company in 5 words.
reddishpink:
”Funky, Fresh, Fun, Professional, Relaxed”
WWDC:
What's your business philosophy?
reddishpink:
”We are upfront and honest with our clients. We try to give them, honest feedback, and recommendations that will help their business, even if we don't make money on it! We are upfront with cost and do not hide pricing nor do we inflate costs. We are austere in our work spaces and save on overheads - which reflect our costs”
WWDC:
Describe your office environment.
reddishpink:
”Alot of fun and relaxed. When we are not drinking coffee we are drinking a beer (after hours ofcourse) and we are always talking business or about what film we saw the night before. I also work remotely in Edinburgh, so this helps with meetings in the city as well as in our comfortable head office in a business centre in Livingston.”
WWDC:
Describe how your team interact and work together.
reddishpink:
”When in the office we have round table discussions weekly on projects. We were with them and what each other can do to help the project. We then create a plan, upload all the details into our project management system. We then get on with our work. Some of us work remotely as well as in Reddishpink HQ. We use our online project management system to update and discuss live projects.”
WWDC:
What makes you different from other web design companies?
reddishpink:
”We are honest and upfront. We will not add costs onto a project unless we feel it is necessary and will give you honest feedback. We are also stacked with experience. I have been designing sites for 12 years and I bring a international appeal to the company, coming from America. The CEO, Mark, has a great way of dealing with clients that has to be seen to be understood. he's really great.”
WWDC:
How do you get the majority of your business?
reddishpink:
”Our CEO, Mark, as mentioned above is a character. He uses his previous work connections in the industry since he has been around for over 15 years.
He is adept at meeting people and working on a relationship built on trust and relaxed environment. he never opens up with a hard sell. This easy to approach method has worked for us very well. ”
WWDC:
Describe how you manage projects from the initial client contact to completion and handover.
reddishpink:
”Everything goes in our proj mgt system. We then create a scope, storyboard, Site archtecture and then designs. Usability testing occurs along the way at key stages. After final signoff, we then build in our preferred CMS. After the build, further testing is done and then G0 Live. ”
WWDC:
What do you think is the most crucial element of creating a good client relationship?
reddishpink:
”Understanding the client. Knowing what moves them, what makes them tick and what makes them successful. We work hard at knowing each client and work with them on every step of the project so they know what we are doing. ”
WWDC:
How do you manage demanding clients?
reddishpink:
”We hold them as we do us, to a scope of work. This scope is signed off and detailed with everything we are doing for the project and how we will deliver it. We have learned some lessons along the way and feel that our scope of work is a solid way to nail the project and hold us and the client accountable. Ofcourse changes can be made but we may increase the cost, depending where in the project we are.”
WWDC:
If a client was trying to decide between a shortlist of web design companies, how would you recommend they go about selecting the right one for them?
reddishpink:
”Look at their own site. Does it reflect the type of people you want to work with? This is a great window into the personality of the company. Their portfolio is a good way to see what they can do for other clients but remember, many websites are dictated in many ways by the company/client it was designed for. The web design company's own site is only dictated by themselves and how they are. It reflects their work culture and what kind of people they are.”
WWDC:
Where do you see your company in 10 years time?
reddishpink:
”We dont want to grow too big.
Small Livingston office, maybe a small Edinburgh office, and a satellite office in Boston so I can watch the Red Sox live from our office in Kenmore square. Hopefully!
”
WWDC:
Where do you see the web design industry in the future?
reddishpink:
”Social marketing is going to a big field to get into, marketing your site through Twitter, Facebook, and other new social media on the rise. We will also see a push in the way of handheld devices and websites working with applications even more closer to the point where web designers will be app developers as well.”
WWDC:
What computers do you have use in your offices, PCs or Macs?
reddishpink:
”Both PC and Mac”
WWDC:
How was your company name chosen?
reddishpink:
”You'll have to ask Mark about that”
WWDC:
If you were to give your clients one tip on how to get the most from their website what would it be?
reddishpink:
”Have established goals and know how to measure those goals.
We have an article explaining this as well, in some detail.”
