I had just moved to Chester and my old website was broken,, I was desperate because my customers could not contact me and I needed a new website quick. The most successful of which is Smart Smoker, a supplier of electronic cigarettes and now one of the largest suppliers in Europe.
My specialism is really in dealing with people and building relationships with both clients and staff. ”We have a separate studio and development area, the design and marketing side of the business happens down stairs whereas the coding and development happens upstairs.
We use a number of collaborative tools to share information and ideas across departments.”

”We do a lot of work for agencies, Marketing, Design and Advertising.
We get a great deal of work through referral too as we have numerous very satisfied clients.”

Describe how you manage projects from the initial client contact to completion and handover.
Reckless New Media:
”We always try to get a face to face meeting, this enables us to get a really clear understanding of the clients requirements.
The next step is to create the proposal, we pour over the specification to ensure that we have every aspect of the functionality clear in mind before we offer a price.
We tend to have a second meeting after the client has received the proposal in order to ensure that the client is happy that the proposal meets with their requirements.
the next step is to get a deposit for us to begin works, we usually start with design approval and move onto the technical aspects once the design is approved.

”We have excellent project management tools that enable us to keep on top of all project milestones. This helps us preform to expectations. We also have a dedicated account manager to ensure that all communication is handled effectively and promptly.”

If a client was trying to decide between a shortlist of web design companies, how would you recommend they go about selecting the right one for them?

”Make sure you are working with people you like and who produce websites you like.
Agencies tend to have a style so it is likely that if you like an agency style, you will be happy with the result. Don't be too price oriented, in web dev, you tend to pay for what you get.”
