Reviews
Great service, quick response times, very good value for money.
My website looks much better thanks to JM4.
I have been very happy with the ongoing support that gives me great peace of mind knowing I can make changes to the website as my business requires.
My customers always comment on the quality of my website, and how it stands out from others.
JM4 worked on developing a series of online applications for The Sterling Group. These applications enable prospective contractors to apply online as opposed to offline, thus speeding up the joining process. JM4 did a great job in the development of these applications, and we look forward to working with them again in the future.
John was professional and worked quickly and efficiently to provide a fantastic service. he was always on hand to answer any questions in a simple and straight forward manner. i would highly recommend him to anyone looking to either start a website or update a current one. Anything i suggested was taken into consideration and all ideas were developed thoroughly with my input along all stages. I was given final say in what the website would look like, and John kept me informed throughout the whole process
John was professional efficient and had a pleasant manner which made our working relationship very productive. The website design was exactly what we wanted due to effective comunucation and John kept explanations simple and explained each part of the design clearly and concisely. The small number of errors that I found were dealt with quickly and efficiently. The fact that the designer reviewed the progress of the website design at our place of business was very useful giving us more time to set up the business.
We are very pleased with our new site and just as importantly with the service JM4 provided. JM4 are experienced, professional and efficient. They were patience in guiding us through our new CMS system they provided, which was a worthwhile addition to our website package. All our ideas were taken on board and we developed a good understanding of what website development involves. Happy to recommend to all businesses and individuals

WWDC:
What's your name and position in the company?
JM4:
”John McClouglin (owner, software consultant)”
WWDC:
Describe your company in 5 words.
JM4:
”professional, honest, transparent, personal, friendly”
WWDC:
What's your business philosophy?
JM4:
”A fair days pay for a fair days work means we can all sleep peacefully tonight.”
WWDC:
Describe your office environment.
JM4:
”As relaxed as it gets. As long as the work gets done on time and to the clients expected standards then play time is any time.”
WWDC:
Describe how your team interact and work together.
JM4:
”humour. There is always a joke going on but above all there is respect.”
WWDC:
What makes you different from other web design companies?
JM4:
”With JM4 there is nothing hidden. We explain exactly how we operate and we always keep in mind that at the end of the day it is your website so it does not launch until you are completely happy. ”
WWDC:
How do you get the majority of your business?
JM4:
”Word of mouth, people talk. By working closely with our clients and delivering projects that exceed expectations our name gets around. ”
WWDC:
Describe how you manage projects from the initial client contact to completion and handover.
JM4:
”Liaise with the client and gather requirements > Prototype > Develop design from prototypes and time lines with Client > Get busy developing (client has access to development progress) > demo > Launch day > support
”
WWDC:
What do you think is the most crucial element of creating a good client relationship?
JM4:
”The ability to listen. Unfortunately too many companies think because they have been doing this for so long they know best. This leads them to tell their customers what they want. JM4 firmly believe that it is your site so it should look how you want it. Will will only ever give advice that you can ignore if you want. ”
WWDC:
How do you manage demanding clients?
JM4:
”We do not start the development until the client is totally happy with the road we are going to take and all goals are realistic. As we heavily involve the customer at every stage of the process and even when we are developing, the client can check on the progress they can request "tweaks" to the project at any time. This way the client remains in control of their project. ”
WWDC:
If a client was trying to decide between a shortlist of web design companies, how would you recommend they go about selecting the right one for them?
JM4:
”Examples of previous work is all well and good but you need to ask some important questions. Who owns the code? Who owns the hosting/Domain? Who owns the CMS? if the answer to all these questions is not you then think again about using that company.”
WWDC:
Where do you see your company in 10 years time?
JM4:
”Still catering for the online needs of small businesses anywhere in the UK and keeping our principles at the centre of the business.”
WWDC:
Where do you see the web design industry in the future?
JM4:
”Unfortunately the web design pool is filling up with sharks. Too many companies who would rather exploit small businesses rather than help them grow and they are all jumping on the SEO band wagon. ”
WWDC:
What computers do you have use in your offices, PCs or Macs?
JM4:
”PC”
WWDC:
How was your company name chosen?
JM4:
”It is made up of my initials and I am a 4th generation John in my family.”
WWDC:
If you were to give your clients one tip on how to get the most from their website what would it be?
JM4:
”Keep your site clean and simple and whatever you do don't get swallowed up by the marketing (SEO) companies, they will cost you a fortune. ”
