WWDC: What's your name and position in the company?
Indentity: I'm Dave de Fijter, I'm the owner of Indentity

WWDC: Describe your company in 5 words.
Indentity: reliable fast agile experimental informal

WWDC: What's your business philosophy?
Indentity: Create awesome stuff using the latest awesome technologies in a skilled and professional way.

WWDC: Describe your office environment.
Indentity: A couple of days a week I work in my home office, the best place for me to concentrate. On other days I work in co-working spots or in the offices of former colleagues for more social interaction.

WWDC: Describe how your team interact and work together.
Indentity: I only work with other freelance professionals, we work very informal and direct, most communication is done by mail or phone. I tend to work as iterative as possible so everyone knows where the product is heading.

WWDC: What makes you different from other web design companies?
Indentity: Fast communication and action, very agile process of working, and the code we create kicks ass and is build to last.

WWDC: How do you get the majority of your business?
Indentity: By recommendations, I rarely have to do acquisition myself.

WWDC: Describe how you manage projects from the initial client contact to completion and handover.
Indentity: Initial introduction, inquiry with clear scope, iterative development, handover when we are both satisfied.

WWDC: What do you think is the most crucial element of creating a good client relationship?
Indentity: Communication, don't keep them in the dark, give them the option to see what you are doing.

WWDC: How do you manage demanding clients?
Indentity: I create a very clear scope in my inquiry's so it shouldn't be a big problem. I won't work for a fixed fee without this clear scope, not only for myself but for the expectations of the client as well.

WWDC: If a client was trying to decide between a shortlist of web design companies, how would you recommend they go about selecting the right one for them?
Indentity: A bit drastic maybe but the best way to find out if they suit your needs is to track down their clients and ask them for their opinion on the company. Don't just go for the cheapest solution since you might not be able to get what you would expect for your money in the end.

WWDC: Where do you see your company in 10 years time?
Indentity: Just a little bigger, say 10 employees max. This keeps things manageable and in control for everyone.

WWDC: Where do you see the web design industry in the future?
Indentity: More advanced webapplications on more platforms. More and more services will be available just on the web and for mobile.

WWDC: What computers do you have use in your offices, PCs or Macs?
Indentity: Mac

WWDC: How was your company name chosen?
Indentity: It's a combination of Indenting (which is very important in the language we code in, Python) and Identity, which we create for our clients by building these apps.

WWDC: If you were to give your clients one tip on how to get the most from their website what would it be?
Indentity: Keep it simple. It's better to have 1 great feature on your site instead of 100 mediocre.
