Reviews
I have been extremely happy with Fonant - excellent communication and friendly advice. I have worked with them on several projects and always felt their consideration for my requirements was second to none. The timescale was always adhered to and the results of their work have been praised by many who have visited the relevant websites. Their communication was always at a level that could be easily understood and they took trouble to explain each phase of the process.
Overall I have been very satisfied with Fonant's service and would recommend them highly to anyone needing web design services.
Transportphotos.com is a database backed image library currently (Dec 2008) offering over 75,000 images from a fully text searchable catalogue. The site facilitates both on-line (e-commerce) and mail-order purchase and delivers high definition images as electronic downloads or ready printed photos for guests and subscribers.
The complexity of the site was not a problem for Fonant who were able to combine several software solutions (SQL, PHP, Drupal) to produce a seam-free and highly intuitive web site that greatly exceeds our original concept.
The site continues to develop and respond to new end-user requirements as it's popularity and content increases. The design and engineering of the site easily accommodates these upgrades without the need to change the existing functionality.
Communications with Fonant are excellent, Fonant never being more than a phone call or eMail away. Response times being tailored to the urgency of the request.
Requirements couched in non-technical terms are well understood and Fonant can frequently offer better ways of achieving something based on their knowledge of the latest technical developments. Our own lack of technical expertise has never been a problem in the development of this site, which continues to generate very favourable comments from users worldwide.
Fonant Ltd comments:
Building Transportphotos.com with Bob has been a most interesting project. Initially built as a custom CMS, the site was converted to run within Drupal in order to make use of existing Drupal functionality and modules for the more complex site requirements. Future plans include more community involvement with the site, including the possibility of allowing users to assist with describing the very large numbers of images in the catalogue.
Very happy with overall product and service, would definitely recommend. Very friendly yet professional service.
Fonant Ltd comments:
It has been a pleasure working with David Honey and Southern Tae Kwon Do.
Very good, personal service, with time given to sort out problems promptly. Always willing to give advice, suggestions and support when asked.
Would definitely recommend for clarity of design and technical know-how.
Fonant Ltd comments:
It has been a positive experience working on the site for Degos Disease. We hope that the improved global communication made possible via the internet might yet find the cause and a cure for the extremely rare, and often fatal, condition.
Fonant have been supremely competent in all aspects of their work. They answer emails and phone calls quickly. They are the people that I have returned to repeatedly for all of my websites and will continue to do so.
They talk intelligently and authoritatively, in plain English and are never condescending. They have produced solutions to all of my problems, the vast majority of which were more effective and cheaper than I had initially envisaged.
If you want to deal with pleasant and sensible people who produce high quality results, then I would urge you to contact this company.
