I first came across First Found in January 2012. At that time I was looking for SEO to improve my web site that was listed on the first page of Google Places and regularly on page one or two.

Their sales staff made all the usual promises so I signed up for the year.
Initially being rated as No 5 on Google following First Found managing to decrease my ranking to No9 I tried to contact my dedicated technician who could not be contacted.

Following a letter of complaint a new technician was assigned who hasn’t done any better.
So with my latest report ranking my site at No7 I have decided to cut my losses cancel my contract early to prevent my site dropping any lower.

y cancelling my contract early they are insisting on my paying the remaining two months of the contract apparently not bothered about their poor performance.

I’m in process of taking legal advise on retrieving the funds paid and their failure to deliver.
So personally I would not touch First Found with a barge pole.

Alan is judging the success of our work by the performance of one single phrase. A phrase that was originally ranking on the first page only in the Google Places listings, but that was replaced by a first page organic listing as a result of our work. (Our initial report shows this organic result placed on page two before we began work on the site)

While we agree to disagree with Alan as to whether or not this represents a step backwards for his search rankings, this complaint completely ignores the fact that no SEO company concentrates on one sole phrase when they are working on a client’s website.

What Alan hasn’t mentioned is that as a direct result of our work his website is ranking on the first page for a number of other appropriate phrases that delivered qualified traffic to his website.

While I appreciate that Alan has a right to say what he likes about the service he has received, I would contest that the work we carried out was of a far better quality than he claims.

I am genuinely sorry that Alan doesn’t feel that he has received a good service from us. However, the comments he makes above are in no way representative of the experience that the vast majority of our clients have – as evidenced by the fact that the 4,000+ other businesses we’re currently working with aren’t posting identical complaints across a number of online forums and review sites.

It is also well worth noting that this has nothing to do with the web design side of our business.
