I was introduced to Design Tank through a colleague who was advising me on an update to my web site. I was talking to two companies. Both companies were very professional and fees were similar, although marginally higher with Design Tank.

Matt the founder of Design Tank made a strong pitch, was very confident about the benefits of Modex over Wordpress but I think what was key is that his background is design and editorial comment which I felt was critical i.e., it was important for me that the site was engaging and that the design would accommodate a site that was perhaps more technical than those of competitors.

Matt provided a Target Price plus art work which he kept within. We as a team led my Matt developed a visual structure which when signed-off was coded. The coding was undertaken swiftly and efficiently. The code is maintained on Design Tank's servers so we are in complete control of the finished product. I already use Fasthosts for email and hosting of my old site so was keen to keep this set up, which Matt could accommodate.

One objective was to keep a blog, this would mean I would need access to the code. Matt provided a straining sessions on how to edit and code Modex and now I write a regular blog and can keep the site updated with minor amendments as industry information gets updated.

I find the Modex interface easy to work with and to be able to toggle between code and wysiwyg is great.

We've included Google Analytics and included a cookies policy statement which was initiated by Matt and his team.

The site has been running for 6 weeks, any snagging was swiftly dealt with and I know Matt is available at the end of the telephone if needed.

The experience was great, the end result excellent, the cost value for money. Would I recommend Design Tank - YES.
