Interview
WWDC:
Describe your company in 5 words.
Dazines:
”Professional, responsive, collaborative, friendly, innovative”
WWDC:
Where do you see your company in 10 years time?
Dazines:
”I would hope to expand to be a reasonable size without being an enormous monolithic software house. I would hope that we would still be working with customers we have now and I would hope that we had managed to help expand their businesses. I would hope that the company would still retain it's friendliness and customer-centred ethos.”
WWDC:
How was your company name chosen?
Dazines:
”Nothing that clever here, we took the word designs and decided to spell it differently. This gave the name Dazines. We thought it was a nice name and pretty easy to remember. It was also not ridiculously long, plus the domain name was available. This made it a good choice for us.”

Reviews
Dazines have been instrumental to our business success. We have built our firm using the great websites they have provided us with. We have changed our website now three times to meet new market demand and each time Dazines have given a personal approach. Nothing is too much for the friendly team and I would strongly recommend them.
Dazines is an amazing company, they were quick to reply to all emails and enquiries. They took me as the customer first always keeping me up to date on work and working to my specifications and requests. Going out of their way to finish the job on time and to requirements. Dazines have some very experienced staff who were able to really help with technical problems and finding great solutions.
They were eager to work with me and the final result proved all their hard work.
Any troubles or issues didn't stop them from delivering, when they start something they finish it.
I'd highly recommend them to any one looking for a knowledgeable experienced web design company.
I know all about web design companies. I have dealt with so many it is painful. Most either fail to get me a quote or send me an e-mail asking what I need weeks after I first contacted them telling them what I need. I eventually hired a company that made all sorts of promises and delivered on only some of the promises. They kept messing up and then charging me extra to fix their own disasters. I cut my losses and fired them. I then had to hunt again through tons of website companies that had major attitude problems or wanted to rip me off. I have some technical background, so I know what is reasonable and what is not. I really thought I would need to put my dream on hold for at least a year.
Thankfully, I found Dazines. From the first moment I was impressed. They got back to me within 24 hours and said they would work on a website that someone else had started and messed up (most web design companies refused to help). They also had the technical expertise I needed (most companies want to use drag-and-drop technology and templates or have barely heard of PHP, much less SQL, AJAX or any other technology).
I was thoroughly impressed with how expert Dazines were. They have always advised me on which options and technologies work and why they work. They do not patronise me but are also willing to explain a concept or idea I might not understand. I also love how they advise on non-technology related issues so that I can have a better site and happier visitors. It is always up to me as to whether or not I should take their advice but I find that they are almost always spot on. I also like that they are eager to listen to my ideas and sometimes they use those.
They are very easy to work with and I have an amazing working relationship with them. I have been looking for years, literally, for a web design company I can have a long-term business relationship with and finally I found them.
I also like that they have a sense of urgency and that customer service is as important to them as it is to me. By that I do not mean only that they value me as a customer but also that they value my customers and they are determined to make the experience my customers have as positive as possible as if my customers were their customers.
The only issue I have had with Dazines is on those occasions where I had to tell them to stop working and go home to their families.
I truly cannot sing the praises enough of Dazines and I really would urge you to avoid the terrible pain I went through for so many years because of awful companies, many of whom have professional websites and seemingly professional portfolios. It is very seldom that I have found a company that sets the same high standards I do and that cares about its customers not just because they are customers but because they are human beings.
Dazines were brilliant with our project and give us on going support with development and marketing. They were great at letting us know what the process was like and how long things would take. Our website is lovely and has so many features that were created exactly the way we wanted them. I would definitely recommend Dazines to anyone that wants a top quality website.
From start to finish the relationship with the Dazines was professional whilst at the same being extremely helpful.
Dazines listened to my company's requirements and expectations and reproduced these in an extremely helpful, no obligations quotation. I was impressed by the way that the cost and timing of the project were laid out clearly and offered excellent value. There were no 'hidden' extras.
Dazines were always available to take care of any issues that arose during the construction of the website, even when this required working outside of normal office hours.
I was kept well informed about the process and jargon was kept to a minimum and always translated into plain speak when the need arose. Dazines took the time and trouble to make sure that I understood everything and I never felt left out of the devlopment process.
The website exceeded my expectations and I have not so far had a negative comment, which considering that I work in an industry where people are not shy about making their opinions known, is something quite exceptional!
The website needed to be up and running in time for an important conference and exhibition. When last minute complications arose Dazines did not let me down, working through a weekend to make sure that everything was functional in time for the exhibition.
I have no hestation in recommedning Dazines.
Working with Dazines was one of the best choices we've made. Their personal approach to attending to our needs was exactly what we needed in the creation of our company.
We started as a new concept business with no Logo, no Brand, and of course no Website. Sebastian and his team quickly helped us form a modern Logo to compliment our business model advising us on colour schemes which would gel on the website.
After a long meeting, discussing in detail our needs and expectations from what the website will offer within a couple of weeks we had our first interactive page created as an idea of what was to come. The website was everything and more we had expected allowing us to control our internal stock levels and update products within seconds.
As we grow, our website does too planning for more functions and systems. We feel confident to have a company like Dazines behind us as we know they deliver what they say they can do.
I had a very positive experience with Dazines. I found them by luck via a search on the internet. I previously used a well known city based company to design a website for a company I was working for, that site cost many thousands of

WWDC:
What's your name and position in the company?
Dazines:
”Sebastian Aspland, Managing Director”
WWDC:
Describe your company in 5 words.
Dazines:
”Professional, responsive, collaborative, friendly, innovative”
WWDC:
What's your business philosophy?
Dazines:
”Our business philosophy is built around building long term, productive relationships with clients.
We like to get to know our clients, their businesses and their needs well. This helps us to understand what it is that our clients require and produces a much better working relationship and a much better end result”
WWDC:
Describe your office environment.
Dazines:
”Hard working, professional and fun where people have the freedom to express themselves and be creative.”
WWDC:
Describe how your team interact and work together.
Dazines:
”Our team interact in a lively and challenging way. No old views are allowed to be held without being constantly challenged and rethought. This enables us to constantly innovate.”
WWDC:
What makes you different from other web design companies?
Dazines:
”We offer 24/7 emergency customer support. All of our websites come with unlimited remote support meaning that you can have confidence in the content management system.”
WWDC:
How do you get the majority of your business?
Dazines:
”We get the majority of our business through referrals and repeat business from existing clients. This is the best and most effective way of generating sales as we are working with people who already know the quality of our work.”
WWDC:

Dazines:
”Contact Client
Send Quote
Supply Wireframes
Supply Designs
Amend Designs
Program Website
Test Website
Provide Walkthrough
Put Live

WWDC:
What do you think is the most crucial element of creating a good client relationship?
Dazines:
”Without a doubt the most important part of a client relationship is good communication. Obviously it is important that you do a good job, but the client also needs to understand the processes you are going through and what is happening. 95% of issues occur due to lack of communication.”
WWDC:
How do you manage demanding clients?
Dazines:
”We very much believe that the client is always right. If the client wants to be demanding then they have the absolute right to do that. It is our responsibility to manage clients effectively and communicate what is expected of clients (meaning what decisions we need them to make and when).”
WWDC:
If a client was trying to decide between a shortlist of web design companies, how would you recommend they go about selecting the right one for them?
Dazines:
”They need to decide what they want from a company (a long relationship/a cheap price etc...). They should then check the previous work of the companies and talk to previous clients if possible. They should then consider how well they can communicate with the company and this should be the last thing that dictates their final decision.”
WWDC:
Where do you see the web design industry in the future?
Dazines:
”I think that the web design industry will have to battle for space with new technologies such as apps. As we get more mobile devices and other as yet unknown devices, web design companies will need to continually upgrade their knowledge and expertise. I think that websites will start to look more like desktop applications and their functionality will increase as broadband speeds increase and technology gets better.”
WWDC:
What computers do you have use in your offices, PCs or Macs?
Dazines:
”Both PC and Mac”
WWDC:
If you were to give your clients one tip on how to get the most from their website what would it be?
Dazines:
”Communicate, communicate, communicate.
Communicate with your customers to see what they like and what they don't like about your website.
