I have found Artisan Websites to be a very helpful company. They explain in detail what will be done after having taken all the information needed. They are, fast, efficient and have a high literacy level so that one is sure that the site they design will be free of grammatical and spelling errors. This last is very important as your website is probably the first contact a client will have with your company and spelling mistakes and poor grammar are very off-putting.
Artisan were able to take our concept and translate it into an attractive design and functional web-presence which has brought us considerable business.
Working with Artisan is a smooth and simple experience. There are never complications, delays or problems - everything is managed to our complete satisfaction.
We greatly appreciate that we were not burdened with technical jargon, and that everything was explained in clear English.
Artisan's hosting and content management service has been flawless.
We can highly recommend Artisan.
I enjoyed excellent communication with this company, they understood exactly what was needed, involved me as needed, used plain English; I am delighted with the outcome. They changed over my hosting at no extra cost, and there were no complications. I would not hesitate to recommend Artisan Websites Ltd. Thank you Tracey.
We feel our selves very lucky that the very first company we contacted was Artisan Websites. I am sure like many others we originally thought of doing it ourselves glad we did not. Right from the start it was obvious we were in contact with a company that cared about their customer! Both in the way that our good ideas were incorporated and the not so good ones tactfully re-examined, Any request for information made to us was always made in a language we could understand. We were amazed considering the different types of site they must become involved with that they knew exactly what our site was trying get accross! like the link incororated to a point of local historic interest. Finally we would not hesitate in recommending them to any one else.

WWDC:
What's your name and position in the company?
Artisan Websites Ltd:
”Tracey, Manager”
WWDC:
Describe your company in 5 words.
Artisan Websites Ltd:
”Friendly, Professional, Communicative, Speedy, Cheerful”
WWDC:
What's your business philosophy?
Artisan Websites Ltd:
”We aim to produce websites that give the customer what they want and helps them to increase their business. To this end our sites our designed to be quick to load, easy to navigate and look professional”
WWDC:
Describe your office environment.
Artisan Websites Ltd:
”Working from a home office means we keep our costs down for our clients. ”
WWDC:
What makes you different from other web design companies?
Artisan Websites Ltd:
”Being a small company ourselves we can deal directly with the customer and have a more personal relationship than with a larger company that employs many designers. There is as little administration involved in getting the work done - no need to log requests and be put on a schedule for your updates - just send us an email with your updates and they will get done, hopefully within 24 hours!”
WWDC:
How do you get the majority of your business?
Artisan Websites Ltd:
”The majority of our work comes from recommendations from our existing clients. We aim to produce a good service which others are happy to recommend. Other than that we get business from general internet enquiries where people have found our work through search engines.”
WWDC:
Describe how you manage projects from the initial client contact to completion and handover.
Artisan Websites Ltd:
”After the client contacts us, either by phone or email, we like to receive from them any ideas they have as to how the website should look. If they have sites that they like the look of then we also take a look at these. This way we have some common ground to start from. From this we design the site and present a test page for the client to view. When they are happy with this then the rest of the site is built. Most of the time we get it right first time, with possibly a few tweaks here and there. We want you to be happy with your website so communication is key!”
WWDC:
What do you think is the most crucial element of creating a good client relationship?
Artisan Websites Ltd:
”Good communication. It is also important that this is put in writing which means no misunderstandings can occur and nothing gets forgotten”
WWDC:
How do you manage demanding clients?
Artisan Websites Ltd:
”By good communication and keeping things in writing.”
WWDC:
If a client was trying to decide between a shortlist of web design companies, how would you recommend they go about selecting the right one for them?
Artisan Websites Ltd:
”By looking at the portfolio of the design company you can see if their type of websites suit what you have in mind. If they don't it is unlikely you will get exactly what you want. Price can be a consideration as well as service so a look at any customer testimonials is a good idea.”
WWDC:
Where do you see your company in 10 years time?
Artisan Websites Ltd:
”Making bigger and better websites or some other VR activity!”
WWDC:
What computers do you have use in your offices, PCs or Macs?
Artisan Websites Ltd:

WWDC:
If you were to give your clients one tip on how to get the most from their website what would it be?
Artisan Websites Ltd:
”Advertise your website on business cards, letterheads, local magazines - people need to know it's there and you can't just rely on the search engines”
