We originally wrote the first Publications online store for the Commonwealth back in 2002. They were so pleased with the original site that we were invited back to complete the next generation of store. Once again we put together a custom e-commerce solution for the Secretariat that included a fully content-managed solution, advanced product searching and display, checkout via NetBanx, and dispatch management via a third party supplier.

We first approached Ampheon in 2006 to build a holiday lettings portal for us. The site was too complicated to use something like Joomla which other companies offered us, and we wanted something that would grow and expand as we did. They've helped us make the site search-engine friendly and get some good positions on phrases like 'holiday lettings france' on Google.
I'd highlight recommend Ampheon and would use them again. In fact, we're now in the middle of a brand new site design with some new features which they are doing for us.
Ampheon are currently undertaking a major and complicated redevelopment of RoomFT website covering social networking enhancements and affiliate schemes. Having had experience of using other design companies, I cannot fault their approach.
As a client you are engaged in all aspects of the process, from designing the look and feel of your website to checking and approving wireframes.
The project has overrun, but this was as a result of ensuring that we are happy with the wireframes before the start of the design process. This will inevitably save the cost of future modifications.
They are HONEST, professional, listen to comments and provide good technical solutions to difficult issues. I recommend them and will definitely use them for all future developments. They are simply a pleasure to work with.
From the start I was very impressed with Malcolm's professional approach on the phone. He was amicable, took time to explain things to me and always responded promptly to my emails. I had already layed out the design of my website, so I was asking Malcolm to finish it and make my rough designs look polished before building the final site. He took directions/feedback very well an I really felt that I was part of the process. He also provided me with additional info/tips that I found very useful (for example he suggested I should have my own business address). So, yes, I am very pleased that I chose Ampheon to design my website and I would use them again. Catherine.

Ampheon, provide very good customer service and excellent feedback on web based projects. They provide detailed documentation on the development cycle and how the process will be managed. Ampheon are available for questions and to discuss improvements and enhancements and try to get an understanding of the organization it is worthing with.
1. Good relationship with web designer.
2. Sat down and defined the need together. The result was good.
3. Technical elements were explained well but we have some experience in this area also.
4. Very happy with the end product although it over ran in time. Many unforseen complications were sorted out during the initial process and subsequently.
A very professional company & cost effective web design service. The work was completed on schedule. Technical elements were explained in advance. Any performance issues once the website was up and running were dealt with swiftly.
Ampheon are an excellent company providing outstanding customer service. Questions, queries or unforeseen technical issues are always dealt with on the spot. I'm always happy with the end result. Now and then they even do the odd change without charging.
Maybe a bit expensive at times but in general the service and the end result are outstanding! I highly recommend Ampheon.
Frank Schmidt
BTS Director
Ampheon have always provided a very professional service for our website and email services. Their response time has always been first class, with any concerns we may have or problems that may arrise with the service. When any intended improvements to the service, such as server or software upgrades, are due, we are kept fully informed of any interruptions to our site.
We readily recommend Ampheon to anyone looking for a high quality end product, delivered by friendly, approachable people who obviously know what they are doing. A pleasure to do business with.
Ampheon, work very well and we always have a two way discussion on our requirements with Ampheon providing best practise and quality results, we do hope to develop our relationship further and so have plans to launch many more websites.
Ampheon followed the brief very well and added some excellent features we had not considered. Our ideas were always listened to and cost implications fully explained. The final site was a vast improvement on our previous effort and has produced far more business for us since its redesign.
Ongoing support has been excellent and we are very happy to continue using Ampheon's services.
We required a small site to advertise our member services, provide a member forum and to allow members and non-members to make contact with one another. Ampheon developed a first-class solution that our members love and it has helped to consolidate and focus our group considerably. Our overall experience of working with Ampheon has been an excellent one and were we to do it over again we would choose them again.
Friendly, flexible and responsive company that listens well and keeps you well informed during delivery. We have grown into a symbiotic working relationship and I have confidence that we can continue to develop the site through both ad-hoc and planned modifications.
Ampheon designed a simple brochure site for us a few years ago that is now at the top of Google for searches like 'aromatherapy treatments' and 'aromatherapy massages'. We're really pleased with the work that they've done for us and would strongly recommend them.

WWDC:
Describe your office environment.
Ampheon Limited:
”Our culture is one of flexibility, teamwork and professionalism. We constantly work to improve ourselves as a company.”
WWDC:
What makes you different from other web design companies?
Ampheon Limited:
”We tell the truth. If a project is going to take 4 months we won't tell you it will be done in 2, then move the goalposts after you sign with us. We're upfront, honest and will give you the best value for money and the highest levels of service. We like to work in partnership, believing in our clients and their business and not just building web sites for the sake of a quick profit.”
WWDC:
How do you get the majority of your business?
Ampheon Limited:
”Mainly from existing clients, which is an excellent testament to our work. We also pick up news clients from our excellent search engine positions, and from other web development companies that are looking to close down or move into something different so no longer want to serve their existing client base in the same way.”
WWDC:
Describe how you manage projects from the initial client contact to completion and handover.
Ampheon Limited:
”We have documentation and signoff at every stage, and involve the client from before signing the contract through and beyond the site going live.”
WWDC:
What do you think is the most crucial element of creating a good client relationship?
Ampheon Limited:
”Being honest, fair and equitable. Treating our clients with respect and in turn working to earn the respect of our clients through providing the best service we possible can.”
WWDC:
How do you manage demanding clients?
Ampheon Limited:
”Fairly and with respect. Each of our clients is important and just because one might be quieter than another it doesn't mean that they should receive less of our time. We have an excellent working relationship with all of our clients, which backs up our apporoach to treat each client dutifully, with respect and equitably.”
WWDC:
If a client was trying to decide between a shortlist of web design companies, how would you recommend they go about selecting the right one for them?
Ampheon Limited:
”Look beyond the marketing hype, or promises that seem to good to be true. The web design industry is unregulated, so you can get told anything to get you to sign. Don't look solely for a company that's the cheapest, or one that can do a great design but has no experience in making a site search engine friendly or building the functionality you want. Very often, this is how people looking to build sites get burnt - we pick up quite a bit of work this way, but it's hard because the client then finds they've wasted a huge amount of money before coming to us leaving less to actually build a good solution for them. Look at the whole picture and make sure you're happy with the entire service and impotantly the chemistry of the people you'll be dealing with. And, of course, speak to some former clients randomly - pick a couple from the portfolio and phone them up.... that's always a good test.”
WWDC:
Where do you see your company in 10 years time?
Ampheon Limited:
”We would like to continue the year-on-year growth over the next ten years, and to remain at the forefront of the custom web development sector, producing leading designs and helping more and more companies to really be successful on the web.”
WWDC:
Where do you see the web design industry in the future?
Ampheon Limited:
”Increasingly competetive, and increasingly tough for companies that don't deliver or delivery are prices that are unsustainable. There'll be a big push towards mobile, which require some very particular skills (which we have) such as iPhone application development. ”
WWDC:
What computers do you have use in your offices, PCs or Macs?
Ampheon Limited:
”PC”
WWDC:
How was your company name chosen?
Ampheon Limited:
”Ampheon was a minor Greek god. He had a twin brother than achieved things through war and died young. Ampheon achieved success through music, art and creativity and lived a long and happy life.”
WWDC:
If you were to give your clients one tip on how to get the most from their website what would it be?
Ampheon Limited:
”Update it regularly. Don't put it up there and expect it to simply pop up to the top of the search engines on it's own. Having a fresh, regularly changing site is the key to effective promotion. And good site content, of course.”
