In 1997, a crack unit of web designers, web developers and digital marketeers was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Glasgow city underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as new media soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire... The A-Team

Excellent project management from the start, and always happy to listen to our opinions and take them on board throughout the project.
Web designers listened to what we thought of there ideas and the process was very iterative. Alienation not only delivered a great website, they were also excellent in taking care of the branding and photography remit we gave them. The finished website looks great and content management system is straightforward to use. I see this as the start of an on-going partnership between Alienation and ourselves!
Alienation provided excellent training on the content management system, the ongoing support we are receiving is great.

We recruited Alienation to redesign our website, with the main aims of making it more attractive, accessible and engaging.

The communication between ourselves and our project manager Valerie was excellent. She was always on hand to answer questions and to look into anything that we queried; any bugs or issues were quickly rectified.

We were involved at every stage of the process and kept very well informed. We were given training in how to operate the content management system, this was very helpful.

I am really happy with the service they have given us, the new site has everything we asked for and more.

We needed a redesign of glenheadengineering.co.uk to present a more professional and interactive site to larger prospects, both nationally and internationally, to underpin the company's plans to service new markets.

Alienation was selected over a number of other recommended competitors on the basis of their response to invitation to tender, and keenness to understand the business and needs for the redesign. They were highest quote, but worth it by far, for concept and originality. Alienation went that extra mile.

Well done Alienation - a very satisfied customer at Glenhead Engineering. A great looking site that will help us expand the business into new markets.

Alienation Digital proved themselves to be a highly creative and approachable agency, that we would recommend.

The agency posses a combination of original creative graphic design, technical knowledge and friendly project management that helped to make our project a success.

After a close pitch, we approached Alienation Digital to design and develop our website. With many different visual ideas in-mind, Aidan produced a design that has proved to be extremely popular. They also helped to produce a brand for the website, and we reuse the key elements from the website in all our marketing. We are extremely happy with the design that Alienation Digital produced.

Patric, the project manager, was approachable and helpful regardless of the volume of suggestions, tweaks and adjustment we requested.

The website has various unique elements that we weren’t sure would be possible to include and be accessible. However, we are pleased the team produced the website to Level AA accessibility.

We have had a great amount of positive feedback about the website, the unique navigation and our 'change weather' (skin) feature.

We would recommend Alienation Digital for anyone looking for a creative website solution.

What kind of relationship did you have with your website designer?
They were very easy to deal with but it was initially difficult to get a hold of the right person - this was resolved when Patric project manager was brought on board.

Did they communicate well with you?
relatively - weekly updates would have been a good addition. We drove the site's progression by pushing and asking questions rather than them driving.

Did they take your requests into consideration?
yes.
Did you feel part of the process?
Overly so - we often led.

Did they keep you informed about what they were doing?
Not sufficiently and not in a structured weekly update format.

Did they speak to you in jargon or jargon free?
Jargon free and good at explaining technical issues.

Were you happy with the final outcome?
yes.

Did they do something exceptional which you hadn't anticipated?
No

Did they deal with any complications well?
yes.

Alienation are an excellent development company who communicated well from the start of the project through to completion. They took a very professional approach to the project and explained each stage in detail. Alienation's creative design was impressive and had considerably more flair than other developers we considered. The project ran to schedule on Alienation's side and we are very happy with the final outcome.

We approached Alientation Digital after a disastrous waste of 3 months with another web design company. This waste of time resulted in having to work to a really tight deadline. We signed up with Alienation at the end of November and despite the Christmas and New Year break, our website was completed and live on target at the beginning of February.
From day 1 our experience was extremely positive. It was a real joy to work with professionals. Every single process ran smoothly and every member of staff was exceptionally helpful and supportive. We were particularly impressed with the market research carried out on our competitors and have found this to be very useful.
The completed site far exceeded our expectatations and within a few hours of going live we began receiving positive feedback from our students and the childcare settings with whom we work.
We are so delighted with the site, we will now approach Alienation with a view to developing a bespoke e-learning package for our students.

"As a business, Vango strive to put our customer at the centre of our online marketing philosophy. As a market leader, we insist on setting ourselves apart from the competition. Alienation helped us deliver on that promise. From the first meeting Alienation understood what we were about as a brand, how important design was to our business and enhanced how online technology can help advance our consumer offering. The finished result was a website which has raised the bar for an entire industry. " -- Scott Beveridge Creative Manager

Throughout the whole process from initial meetings to development and build of the website, I have found Alienation to be very professional, helpful and easy to work with.

Alienation managed to keep web jargon to a minimum ( a definite neccessity for me!) and always aimed to find solutions to any changes or amendments to the site that we requested. I was involved at every stage of the process and felt part of the project at all times. Whenever any compliations arose, Alienation worked quickly to find workable solutions.

We are very happy with our new website and look forward to continuing our working relationship with Alienation and developing the website further in the future.

What kind of relationship did you have with your website designer? Did they communicate well with you?
All of the staff we dealt with at Alienation were really helpful and if they could not answer your question immediately they got back to you really quickly. Communication was ongoing throughout the project and they are still supportive now the site is live.

Did they take your requests into consideration?
All of our initial ideas have been incorporated into the site. The only restraint was budget but the site has been designed to allow for growth in the future.

Did you feel part of the process? Did they keep you informed about what they were doing?
Very much felt part of the whole process. My team were in constant contact with Alienation who were only too willing to help there and then if possible.

Did they speak to you in jargon or jargon free?
Occassional jargon slipped into the conversation but not to the extent where information made no sense.

Were you happy with the final outcome?
Really happy with the site and feedback from users/partner organisation has been excellent so far.

Did they do something exceptional which you hadn't anticipated?
They really pulled out all the stops for us to have the site ready for the launch event. Problems always arise and although these have been build into timescales last minute issues always happen. The event was a success due to the team being at the other end of the telephone and fixes and issues there and then.

I found Alienation very easy to work with. They produced good ideas and were very accessible if I had any ongoing problems. I very much felt part of the process, and considering my age and most of their ages, they kept everything very understandable. I was very happy with the final outcome, and they didn'y appear flustered or overawed with anything I suggested.

I have been very satisfied throughout by the service provided by Alienation Digital for the Carnbooth House Website. I found them to be very proffessional in their approach while at the same time friendly and helpful.
The lines of communication were open fully and maintained throughout the project. We were fully involved in the design process from inception to completion so were never in any doubt that we were going to get what we wanted.
I was never at any point overwhelmed with any technical jargon. Any questions or issues we had were dealt with promptly and explained fully.
In terms of style and appearance we are all absolutely delighted with the website. Alienation have delivered a stylish and functional solution and i look forward to working with them again on future websites for other companies within the group.

Alienation won the tender to build our new website against stiff competition. Their personal and flexible approach greatly impressed me. As a theatre company we had a lot of content to gather which resulted in the project going well over time, Alienation worked round us and showed a great deal of patience. Their on going support has been excellent since the website has been completed. I believe that they understand that business is about partnership and I look forward to working with Alienation again in the future.

Alienation Digital always responded promptly to requests and problems. I was always able to get hold of someone on the phone, and if they couldn't resolve my problem/query, they would make sure someone else did asap.
Some of the features I needed the website to have were not straightforward, however Alienation responded to all my requests and managed to come up with a solution for everything.
I'm really happy with the website, and we have had lots of positive comments about it!

From inital discussions right through to delivery of our site I found Alienation to be approachable, flexible, professional and responsive. Both technically and creatively they have created a site which absolutely fulfilled my brief to them and exceeded my expectations.

Unlike a number of web designers, the team at Alienation were able to articulate and explain the process and detail of our website and the whole process without jargon. They're happy to explain the technical aspects if you want, but can also explain things in a user-friendly way.

Despite the scale of the project and extent of bespoke development we required the team went above and beyond to make sure that we got what we wanted and needed.

Alienation were excellent throughout this project. Their communication was superb, they responded quickly to all our requests, we felt involved in every part of the process, but with minimal hassle to us. They spoke to us in easily understandable language and were very willing to explain issues, processes, software, etc to ensure we understood all that we needed to. The process appeared to us very straightforward, although I know that they spent a lot of extra time and effort on our website, and went above and beyond the time they had allocated, in order to ensure that we had an exceptional end product. I would wholeheartedly recommend Alienation - they are an absolute pleasure to work with.

Alienation has been very clear and concise all the way through our relationship. They have designed our Coatbridge College website and a brand new Business Solutions website. We have constantly changed and updated the websites project requirements with new information and have been extremely impressed with their service. I recommend Alienation to anyone looking for a thoroughly professional web design company. We also host our website on their server too.

Downside: I hadn't appreciated that the joomla website is basically a toolbox and much of the website design work was down to me, apart from the most basic skeleton. Probably the initial communication could have been better in that respect as it came as a bit of a shock.

Upside: once you've mastered it (and you would probably have to be reasonably IT savvy to do so) then the results are fantastic as you can completely tailor the site to your needs - plus you can easily change every aspect of the design moving forward at no further cost. The feeling of satisfaction at seeing your own creation online is also not to be sniffed at. Although the learning curve was undoubtedly steep, Alienation staff could not have been more helpful in responding to queries immediately and fixing any mistakes I made. Finally, we provided a budget, and Alienation stuck to it. This is the second occasion on which we have dealt with Alienation, and I wouldn't hesitate to do so again.

Alienation Digital comments:
The "website design work" is referring to putting in and laying out content. CNORIS were taking our Lite service to keep costs down.

Alienation Design were a delight to work with from initial contact, through the design and build process to the training and the follow-up after the site went live. All staff we dealt with were knowledgable about their work and professional in their manner, nothing was too much trouble. They were also able to put technical language into plain English. Alientation provided us with a service level agreement, which was comprehensive and detailed, and they lived up to their promises. We would have no hesitation in working with Alienation in the future, or in recommending Alientation to someone else.
