Useful Mashups set 06

10 September 2009
This is a collection of small posts that don't warrent their own single article, so I'll add 2 or 3 depending on the length of them into a series that I'll call 'Useful Mashup'

(you) I have a problem, (them) What version are you using?

Have you ever been on the phone or going to email your web designer or tech guy about a problem with your website or your computer when you are surfing online and the person on the other end of the phone ask you, what browser version are you using? What version of flash do you have? Is Javascript enabled?

Well of course you’re probably not going to have a clue what they are talking about. Well there is a great new site that will make it really easy to tell them. Just go to http://supportdetails.com and fill out the details to email them a copy of your information and they will then be able to direct you towards hopefully fixing the problem quicker.

Need a generic free number for your business?

I came across this site which is fantastic for businesses working from home, but don’t want to use their landline number. It’s also great as the cost to the person phoning is a reasonable 4.2ppm, much better than some of the alternatives out there.

You can get up to 2 numbers for free!

Why not take down the customers name and number and call them back right away, to save them money.

If you’re thinking, well I have numbers already and don’t want to change them, you can get creative with them (after all their free!). You can use these two numbers to run a separate split test campaign to see what page on your site does better or even what flyer get more responses.

Make sure you track and record this information as it will serve you well in future campaigns.
