How to resize images With XP
15 April 2009
Resizing images using windows XP is easy with this free and handy tool from Microsoft.
Perform a Google search for 'windows power tools' and select the first result and download the Image Resizer, bottom of right hand column.
ImageResizer.exe
521 KB 2min@28.8Kbps
Run the install program and accept the default settings to complete installation.
Resizing Images
* Find your image and right click on its icon
* Choose resize Pictures from the menu
* Choose Medium
* Click on Advanced button for more settings
* Click OK to resize your image
Images will be stored in the same location as the original.
Feel free to experiment with different settings, for gallery uploads etc we recommend choosing Medium size and in Advanced tab ticking the first box only. This will then create a copy which will be called by the same name as the original but with the words (Medium) after it.
