Your corporate brand is one of the most important things to get right!

Do you know how to define your business in the public eye. Your corporate brand is one of the most important investments that you can make as a new start up business. A re-brand for an existing company can be equally effective if carried out correctly and sympathetically. It may sound very simple but creating an effective brand is not easy. Your business can succeed or fail depending upon the way in which your corporate brand is perceived. This really can be make or break!

Whilst a very strong corporate brand will boost your business and instil confidence in the customer a poor brand can easily hand the business to your competitors. A good image is critical in todays market place to create a good first impression.

When creating a corporate image / brand, you need to keep a few things in mind.

One of the most important elements to consider is longevity, will this brand stand the test of time. Be careful to create a brand that represents your business as a whole and not just a reflection of current projects. We have seen this mistake repeatedly! Stop and think where your business might be in a few years from now and then look at the brand and try to visualise if it will work.

Many companies make the mistake of going for short-term branding – not a good idea, talk to a professional, seek help and advise as this will be one of the most important things that you do with your business and it needs to be right, first time. Try not to be driven by budget when it comes to corporate branding, whilst you might not want to pay professional design agency fees if you get this wrong then the long term affects on your business success will be far more significant than a 1 off invoice from your chosen designer!
