A: David Murphy. I am the managing director and marketing lead here at Clear View Digital

A: We do like to have fun but everything is geared towards our clients success

Q: Describe how your team interact and work together.
A: We all come from a wide variety of professional backgrounds and between us, we have over 50 years worth of experience working for some of the world's most successful advertising agencies, web development agenices and media organisations so we all recognise that everyone's ideas need to be heard! Our brainstorming sessions can be quite fun and it can be quite fascinating to watch us strategising how to get the most value and impact from a client's website budget meaning we can allocate it to the areas that will give the website the best possible chance of making a serious impression online.

Q: What makes you different from other web design companies?
A: Aside from the experience, ideas and knowledge we bring to the table from having "been there, done that" so to speak, what sets us apart is that: a) Our fee structure is largely performance based, meaning we don't get paid unless your website or project hits pre agreed success milestones. b) We believe that there is no point investing in a website that no one can find. That is why every website we produce comes fully onsite search engine optimised for FREE! d) All of our websites come with full training in manual and video form. We are also more than happy to provide 1 on 1 training sessions at no extra cost.

Q: How do you get the majority of your business?
A: Word of mouth has always worked well for us and we have been fortunate enough not to have had to spend a cent on advertising over the past 4 years thanks to the recommendations of our clients. If you are reading this, thank you guys!

Q: Describe how you manage projects from the initial client contact to completion and handover.
A: When we speak with a client, we get to know not only their business, but also what their competitors are doing. Once we establish what the end result needs to be, we create a project plan and keep the client updated every step of the way until that goal has been reached, at which time we hand over the website along with all the training material and back up files. We also provide 90 days free support!

Q: What do you think is the most crucial element of creating a good client relationship?
A: Being honest and upfront from day one is key as is providing ongoing updates and post project support.

Q: How do you manage demanding clients?
A: If a client is being demanding, I feel as a business owner that we must first look at ourselves and whether the client is unhappy for whatever reason. If the answer is no, then we are always happy to discuss the client's concerns and compromise accordingly.

Q: If a client was trying to decide between a shortlist of web design companies, how would you recommend they go about selecting the right one for them?
A: As well as a portfolio that impresses, I would suggest asking for testimonials/references from a previous client or two to gauge the level of service provided. I would also suggest working with the company that has provided you with an honest assessment of your current website or idea - these are the companies that are in this business to help companies like yours grow.

Q: Where do you see your company in 10 years time?
A: I would like to think we will have established ourselves as the premier website design and internet marketing company in Ireland having finally ended our quest to eradicate the awful pre 2001 designed websites that are still dominant in this country!

Q: Where do you see the web design industry in the future?
A: I would be a fool to guess! The rate at which new innovations are hitting the industry is simply frightening yet exciting. All I know is that whatever the future holds, we will be prepared for it about 6 months before hand!

Q: How was your company name chosen?
A: After much too-ing and fro-ing! It simply means that we aim to give your business the opportunity to reach a whole new digital marketplace and give potential customers a clear view of what you business does!

Q: If you were to give your clients one tip on how to get the most from their website what would it be?
A: People have the attention spans of gold fish these days so your website needs to instantly grab their attention, be easy to read and full of easy to follow calls to action - getting your message out there as quickly and as easily as possible
