Self Reflexion: ground breaking design and photography

WWDC: Where do you see your company in 10 years time?
Self Reflexion: We hope to be running out of the rockies in a lodge loft office serving calgary and area doing fewer but larger projects. We also have a side brand that does church websites that we want to focus on.

WWDC: How was your company name chosen?
Self Reflexion: We spent a while thinking about the name, we wanted something funky sounding that would encompass both web and photography and self reflexion does just that.

These guys are beyond amazing! I got so much for the price and every time they designed something for me to approve they blew me out of the water. You HAVE to get these guys, no one else, to design your site. THE BEST. Their office is also fricken sweet and everyone that works there is so kind and helpful.

WWDC: What's your name and position in the company?
Self Reflexion: Brian Self, I am the creative director and co-founder

WWDC: Describe your company in 5 words.
Self Reflexion: ground breaking design and photography

WWDC: What's your business philosophy?
Self Reflexion: Everything is Beautiful, our job is to show how beautiful everything is.

WWDC: Describe your office environment.
Self Reflexion: We have a swank loft style office downtown complete with a photo studio, soft and chic.

WWDC: Describe how your team interact and work together.
Self Reflexion: We have nerf gun fights and beer o' clock to help creativity, we approach things very laid back and open

WWDC: What makes you different from other web design companies?
Self Reflexion: I think our approach to projects and the things we do are very unique. As well not a lot of interactive agencies have their own photo studio and dark room.

WWDC: How do you get the majority of your business?
Self Reflexion: Online marketing and word of mouth

WWDC: Describe how you manage projects from the initial client contact to completion and handover.
Self Reflexion: We have a client section that is at the core of the entire three step process of plan, design and build.

WWDC: What do you think is the most crucial element of creating a good client relationship?
Self Reflexion: Anticipating the needs of your customers and delivering them before they ask.

WWDC: How do you manage demanding clients?
Self Reflexion: We do not respond to verbal abuse or demands, all clients need to do is ask us for something and we can deliver. Outside of that we will allow people to cool off until they are ready to move along again.

WWDC: If a client was trying to decide between a shortlist of web design companies, how would you recommend they go about selecting the right one for them?
Self Reflexion: Compare the look and feel of the companies websites, a good 90% of web firm's sites look like they came from 1995, and that's unacceptable.

WWDC: Where do you see your company in 10 years time?
Self Reflexion: We hope to be running out of the rockies in a lodge loft office serving calgary and area doing fewer but larger projects. We also have a side brand that does church websites that we want to focus on.

WWDC: Where do you see the web design industry in the future?
Self Reflexion: Leaner and more developed in it's standards and practices. I think firms will start defining strongly how process should be.

WWDC: What computers do you have use in your offices, PCs or Macs?
Self Reflexion: Both PC and Mac

WWDC: How was your company name chosen?
Self Reflexion: We spent a while thinking about the name, we wanted something funky sounding that would encompass both web and photography and self reflexion does just that.

WWDC: If you were to give your clients one tip on how to get the most from their website what would it be?
Self Reflexion: release early, release often.
