Steven Gauci was wonderful to work with in every way. He ALWAYS goes above and beyond. He is patient with customers who do not speak "computer". He always creates exactly what I was looking for and if it isn't 100% right, he never makes me feel back about revising. I have received NUMEROUS compliments on this site as well as www.fialova.ca. ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE company to work with!!
Saskanet is not only one of the best run website design companies in Saskatchewan, but they are also a real friend to Saskatchewan charities. As a non-profit organization we have an exceptionally tight budget and wanted to get online to reach our members and potential new members. Saskanet stepped forward and has provided us a commitment to develop our new website for free. Using the Joomla CMS has been a breeze and we found the design choices they made to be right on the money, encapsulating what the site and organization are all about. Great company and would recommend their work to everyone.
From a simple phone call and then several emails where we provided information for the SaskMedia team to add to the website the process was rather painless. Steven the owner and designer worked the site and incorporated several functional aspects that made this a value way beyond the $400 we paid for the site and a full year of hosting. I cannot say enough good things about SaskMedia.

Saskanet:
”President / CEO”
WWDC:
Describe your company in 5 words.
Saskanet:
”Good, Result Driven, Cheap, Flexible”
WWDC:
What's your business philosophy?
Saskanet:
”Saskanet’s core business philosophy is a simple and based upon how we see ourselves working with our clients, as artisans or craftsman. It’s our job to bring our clients ideas to life using the technology and tools at our disposal. See things from the client’s perspective and always ask questions.”
WWDC:
Describe your office environment.
Saskanet:
”Saskanet has a virtual office model, with locations in 6 countries.”
WWDC:
Describe how your team interact and work together.
Saskanet:
”Client projects are started and team members are assigned. Working together virtually or physically, ideas are shared, as are concepts, problem solving, results, and rewards. Everyone respects their team members and is always willing to help each other at Saskanet and even outside of business. ”
WWDC:
What makes you different from other web design companies?
Saskanet:
”It comes back to Saskanet’s core philosophy of being a craftsman not “artist”. When we finish a project we compile a DVD of all the materials we created. These belong to the client; they paid us to create them. We don’t retain “intellectual property rights” like other firms do. ”
WWDC:
How do you get the majority of your business?
Saskanet:
”Saskanet’s clients have usually been based within our own industry, doing work under non-disclosure agreements. We are actively using traditional print and media advertising to reach the local business communities and have increased our online presence. ”
WWDC:
Describe how you manage projects from the initial client contact to completion and handover.
Saskanet:
”Meet with clients, develop a demo, seek approval, assign team members, launch finished website, and submit created materials to client. ”
WWDC:
What do you think is the most crucial element of creating a good client relationship?
Saskanet:
”Honesty and co-operation with a client. At Saskanet we would rather inform a client from the onset if a concept they have is unworkable and work with them to develop what they need, offering solutions in a partnership. They are not considered just a source of revenue.”
WWDC:
How do you manage demanding clients?
Saskanet:
”As a rule we don’t have difficult or demanding clients because we do not employ a team of “Yes” salespeople. The dollar value of a project is far less important to us than the potential long-term relationship we will be cultivating with the client. Honesty, resolves any issues in advance.”
WWDC:
If a client was trying to decide between a shortlist of web design companies, how would you recommend they go about selecting the right one for them?
Saskanet:
”Interview the person who makes the decisions at the design company. Would they fit in with your organization? They should share ideas and ask questions about what you do. Keep in mind as well the highest priced firm does not always mean you’ll be getting the best service.”
WWDC:
Where do you see your company in 10 years time?
Saskanet:
”Saskanet is now expanding and taking on a larger role in hosting, and commercial printing but website development and graphic design is the core business so we will still be in this business looking after the clients we now have and all the new ones we acquire along the way.”
WWDC:
Where do you see the web design industry in the future?
Saskanet:
”A few years back I would have said that we would be just assisting clients in placing their own completed designs online. Currently we are seeing clients demanding more robust websites, CMS solutions. We’ll be busy for years, and continuing to educate ourselves in the new emerging technologies.”
WWDC:
What computers do you have use in your offices, PCs or Macs?
Saskanet:
”Both PC and Mac”
WWDC:
How was your company name chosen?
Saskanet:
”Saskanet? Sask-a-net Saskatchewan a network ???”
WWDC:
If you were to give your clients one tip on how to get the most from their website what would it be?
Saskanet:
”Take the time to learn what your visitors are doing, how they arrived, and what they are looking for. Provide a better experience for them, easier ways to find you, and add related items. The more you learn about your website the better you will know what you can achieve.”
