WWDC: What's your name and position in the company?
Zeroseven: Director of Design and User Experience

WWDC: Describe your company in 5 words.
Zeroseven: Collborative, Innovative, User-focused, Custom, Creative

WWDC: What's your business philosophy?
Zeroseven: We are a digital development house in the heart of Brisbane and we work in partnership with our clients on long term digital solutions that use best practice in design, development and usability. We create beautiful, usable websites, online applications, eCommerce stores, mobile websites and intranets that are custom built and integrate with content management and other back end systems.

WWDC: Describe your office environment.
Zeroseven: Our office is split across two levels, near the Brisbane river and cultural heart of the city. The environment here is very technology focused but we also like a bit of fun now and then.

WWDC: Describe how your team interact and work together.
Zeroseven: Our project managers, developers and designers are all under one roof so solutions are collaborative, not only between the team members but also with our clients. We need to give the client what is best for their business and that means meetings and workshops where we talk about possible solutions. We also don't outsource design or development so we have a lot of control about the quality of the final outcome.

WWDC: What makes you different from other web design companies?
Zeroseven: We have a heavy focus on user experience and 'doing things right'. What that means in reality is that we have to understand how a website or application is going to work within and organisation as well as for the end user and present a well thought out solution.

WWDC: How do you get the majority of your business?
Zeroseven: Word of mouth. We have an excellent reputation for creative design and quality development.

WWDC: Describe how you manage projects from the initial client contact to completion and handover.
Zeroseven: From the client meeting, to a workshop, technical specification then design and development. It's important for us and the client to be on the same page.

WWDC: What do you think is the most crucial element of creating a good client relationship?
Zeroseven: Open and honest communication and a complete understanding of the goals of the project.

WWDC: How do you manage demanding clients?
Zeroseven: We try and find solutions that suit both of us, if it is your business, then demanding means that you care about it and that it exceptionally important.

WWDC: If a client was trying to decide between a shortlist of web design companies, how would you recommend they go about selecting the right one for them?
Zeroseven: It has to be a mixture between the right fit (do you get along with them) and whether the solution offered is well understood by the developer. If it is not, then there is a likelihood that the project will have to be developed again resulting in more cost, time and frustration.

WWDC: Where do you see your company in 10 years time?
Zeroseven: Still creating usability focused digital projects but ones which work seamlessly across different screen sizes and devices as technology progresses.

WWDC: Where do you see the web design industry in the future?
Zeroseven: With a greater focus on design and development that is responsive to different devices and the needs of the user. Designers and developers really need to think about how the website/project is going to be used and what limitations and opportunities there are for different users.

WWDC: What computers do you have use in your offices, PCs or Macs?
Zeroseven: PC

WWDC: How was your company name chosen?
Zeroseven: Zeroseven is the area code for Queensland and as we are a Brisbane web design and development agency, we wanted something that represented our roots.

WWDC: If you were to give your clients one tip on how to get the most from their website what would it be?
Zeroseven: Think about your target market and how they will be using your site and make it super easy for them to find what they want.
